The setting of the hotel is lovely, with lots of trees and Cafe Caspar's charming outdoor dining area sitting between the hotel and the building containing the suites. Our suite was spacious and comfortable, and we loved the Oscar Wilde theme of our suite.

Fashionable boutique hotel
Friendly service and unique boutique experience. It was easy to find street parking close to the studio room we were staying in. The breakfast was very enjoyable.

Very friendly staff. Nice room with a comfortable bed. The shower was not cleaned properly (spiderwebs), and I find the rooms overpriced. For 170€ I expected more than an ordinary room.

Super Cool!
Got a beautiful room, comfortable queen size bed (awesome as most hotels in the Netherlands offer only 2 twins put together). Super friendly receptionist, great service, awesome shower!!!

Nice hotel, convenient.
The hotel is a nice small, boutique hotel. It's an easy walk from the train station and the restaurant attached to it is also good. The breakfast was nice. My only complaints were that the bed and pillows were harder than I like and the floor was a bit cold, even with the heat on. These are small matters -- it's a good hotel, good service.

Great Hotel, Great Location
The staff are very friendly (with very good english). We were able to choose a room on a subsequent nights stay (they have different themes). The rooms are modern and clean, with coffee machine and kettle. There was a wide range of food and drink at breakfast, all of excellent quality. The attached bar Caspar is a great place for a drink and the nearby Goed restaurant is very nice. 10 minute walk from the Train station and 5 minutes to the town centre.

Convenient Basic Hotel
Nice simple hotel in convenient location as we had a car so required parking facilities a nice walk into town centre or transport close by. Rooms were basic and clean but no air conditioning and as it was a warm couple of days made sleeping hard. Breakfast buffet was good with a nice variety of food. They did however have coffee in the room which is not always available in hotels throughout Europe. Overall would stay again as long as it wasn’t hot.

The reception staff was wonderful, eager to help with anything. I was concerned about the train noise, because the train tracks are on the side of the hotel, but the windows block most of the noise, it is a special glass. They upgraded the room for the same price. The breakfast was delicious, both hot and cold. Very stylish rooms, breakdast area, with painted glasses and plates.check-in at the hotel is until 9 pm, after that it can be done at the cafe next door.Good location, 10-15 mun away from downtown. Overall a great experience

I reserved 2 rooms at this hotel on Expedia and received a confirmation email from both Expedia and the hotel itself. I was traveling from another city to Arnhem on the day we were to check in. The company apparently tried to run my credit card information on the day of the reservation immediately before our arrival and then sent me an email at 3 pm that they were unable to process my credit card information and to please respond to the email within an hour and a half. I did not see the email since I was traveling. When we arrived 2 hours after the email was sent, we were informed that they had given away one of our two rooms and that the hotel was full and they could not accommodate us. This is ridiculous. They could have attempted to run my credit card 2 months before when I booked the hotel if they needed to know it was valid before I arrived and had plenty of time to contact me if my bank (from another country) declined the charges (until I approved them). It was inappropriate to cancel the rooms with an hour and a half notice BY EMAIL (not likely to be reading email regularly while traveling in another country on vacation) to contact them. We had to find rooms at another hotel for that night.

My own fault
This is a very interesting hotel from a design perspective, but it had several negatives for us. First, my own fault as I said, I booked a loft room. It is really annoying to have the bathroom down a steep set of stairs from the bedroom. Second, there is a train right outside the room and it can be bothersome. Third, the electronic button to close our curtains didn't work, so there was more light in the room at night than I like for sleeping. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was very good. The location is fine. But the decor wasn't enough of a positive for me to look beyond the negatives. I wouldn't stay here again.

We were staying here for business and ended up in Arnhem since our usual hotels in Wageningen were fully booked. A bit of a commute but the hotel, staff and atmosphere made up for the travel

Lovely hotel with very unique rooms
The hotel was very easy to find and is even marked on the free map available from the tourist office. I choose to walk from the central railway station to get my bearings, but you could go directly to Arnhem Velperpoort station which is only a few hundred yards from the hotel. From the central station it is perhaps a 15 or 20 minute walk. The staff at reception were very friendly during check-in and even asked if I had managed to get the football ticket that I had previously enquired about by email! My room was fantastic and very unusual. The theme was knitting, but I think each room has a unique theme which makes a nice change from boring chain hotels. Everything was spotlessly clean and looked brand new. The shower was very nice and the TV included BBC1 and BBC2. The complementary breakfast was very nice and of a good quality (real orange juice, fresh croissants, crispy bacon etc.). WIFI worked well in the room and was fast enough to steam music (I did not try video). I found the location to be very good, Although its not bang in the centre of town you only need to walk for 5 or 10 minutes to reach the old town area so its really quite handy. There are some nice cafes around the hotel (the one connected to the hotel itself looked lovely with tables outside) and several small shops close by. The hotel is very close to the train tracks, but I only really noticed this a few times and it did not disturb my sleep.

Wonderful Friendly Quirky Hotel
The hotel is in a great location of leafy lanes but very close to the city centre (walking distance). The cafe underneath is Classic Dutch and sitting outside in the square drinking and chatting at 11.00am and 11.00pm is what cafe life is all about! The bedrooms are crazy but unforgettable and don't expect a standard chain-style hotel room, but they are comfortable and with all you need. I guess this might be a 'Marmite' hotel - you either love it or hate it and I loved it!

Nice and stylish hotel, rooms are gorgeously modern. Very friendly staff. Rooms lack a desk do not the best for business. Bed clothing if very limited, you have either 1 or 2 duvets on you for rooms at a comfortable temperature, this means you'll either be too hot or extremely hot. Or slightly cold if you do away with covers. Breakfast was great, best scrambled eggs I had in many years. Reception closes for the night, but next door restaurant will have all you need for a late check in. Restaurant snacks are great, main meals are a bit bland. staff is awesome. Don't miss the elevator, its is basically a moving photo gallery. everything impeccably clean

It's a different experience, a good one. Each room is decorated differently in a brilliant and original way. One of our rooms had the walls completely covered in working QR codes. Flaws were that room had no desk. I got a back ache as I had to be at an awkward position when working. Toilet light took forever to light up, if you have to go to the loo you'll be doing in the dark. You had to turn it on 5 min before. There was no alternative bedding. At night it was too hot or too cold, you could only opt to cover yourself 1 or 2 duvets. The rooms were at a comfortable temperature so something lighter would be enough. Reception closed at night, but we had no trouble getting in at 9pm as the restaurant adjacent to the hotel had an envelope with our key and info ready for us. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Breakfast has the best tasting scrambled eggs I've eaten in a hotel in the last 20 years. Bacon was crispy but not burned, a tad too salty. Fruit juices were very fresh and almost seemed freshly squeezed. It was generally delicious. There was nothing sweet to go with the coffee. like biscuits. The restaurant next to the hotel serves delicious snacks and sandwiches. Kitchen closes early (9 to 9:30pm) Dinner was well presented but bland. Soups were delicious. Use the elevator at least once. It’s a moving photo gallery. You are taken up by a platform that allows you to appreciate the white walls of the elevator shaft, which are completely covered with historical photos

The hotel is small in a residential area. Our room overlooked the railway but the trains are very quiet and it didn't disturb my sleep at all. Our room certainly was unlike anything we had ever stayed in before. The room was compact but large enough for the two of us. There was no desk that you could realistically use for work. Wifi in the room was fast and free. Lovely bar on the ground floor that does good meals. We loved it and we will be going back.

A little jewel in Arnhem
A stylish little hotel in great location at the Arnhem's fashion quarters. Beautiful and comfortable room which was also very quiet throughout the night. Downstairs there is a Cafe Kaspar which was obviously popular with the locals, great food and a very good selection of beers and wines. Worth of a visit on it's own. Hotel check-in and out was easy with very friendly staff. Included breakfast is also a welcome bonus. I will definately stay in this hotel again.
