"We arrived on 1st May for a 3 night stay. it was the first day of the season and the hotel team were very welcoming. Our twin room was very comfortable, clean & spacious. Slightly dated having been built 20 years ago but very adequate. The breakfast was exceptional; so many choices from fruits, cereals, cooked eggs etc,, yoghurts, pies & salad & a large array of pastries, desserts & sweets. The pool area was also very lovely, plenty of space & many double loungers with clean towels every day. I worked out in the gym most days, alone, & appreciated the equipment. We hired a car so got to travel the island, had we stayed just at the hotel & local beach we may have had a different Experience. We enjoyed coming home to the hotel & pool and ate there twice during our stay. The restaurant served excellent food, fairly pricey for the portion but delicious & well presented. Our only complaint was that the housekeeping staff were very noisy chatting & laughing in loud voices when we were still trying to sleep. One night they opened up the patio door (unbeknown to us) & we were bitten to bits by mosquitoes in the night. We make a special shout out to the breakfast team & the catering manager who worked tirelessly to ensure all had a good experience. I’d be very happy to return to Thalassa resort. "

"Excellent location, Fabulous facilities. Superb staff. What a real jewel in Agostlini. Easy to get to harbour and see turtles 8-10am daily by fishing boats. Great central location. Square comes alive at night and plenty of tasty places to eat. Cant fault this hotel or location. Great base to visit most of Kefalonia. Mountain drives are unbelievable "

"The owner kept going into our room to turn of the AC that was already barely working ..we were eating breakfast and I had a view of our front door and the owner went into our room twice ..it’s unacceptable!!! Other than that the breakfast was great pool was good. The only problem was the AC that barely worked and the wifi that doesn’t work..it never works morning noon or at night… if they fixed their wifi and AC it would be a 5 stars"

"Even though the information on Expedia about the location is wrong (hopefully it has since been rectified); Maria does not do cancellation or refund. Therefore we were in a place we did not want to stay. Everything measured out in the apartment. 2 knives, 2 cups etc. No possibility to make coffee or cook properly. Lassi and Argostoli are a long walk and climb. The difference between the Expedia and actual address is about a 33 minute walk, which with the steep incline is almost impossible to navigate, be aware before booking."
