Great place, lovely people!
Fantastic location with friendly hosts! Our room was large, comfortable (with a fab view of the deer) and a large ensuite with bath and shower. The dinner was delicious - 3 courses - with wine and other drinks available if you wanted it. Breakfast included tasty home made goodies by Steph. This was a great chilled overnight stop.

Second time of staying
Second time of staying and well pleased with everything. This is a family run hotel set in a beautiful area midway between our journey from East Anglia to the south of France. Comfortable rooms of generous proportions and lovely evening meal. Will stay again.

Hidden gem
The hostess, Stephanie, offers a very warm welcome to make you feel at home right away. Though we didn't book dinner, it was still offered (payable extra), and it was great and much appreciated by us. The property is surrounded by a magnificent landscape with fallow deer and other wild animals.

A bit querky
Stayed 1 night on way to Alps. In winter it is a little way from the motorway down unlit and ungritted roads. Wouldn't do a winter stop again. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very large and warm. Would have liked tea making facilities. Bathroom was dated and finished to a poor standard. The taps were loose and there was sticky-back plastic mosaic tiles, some of which were coming away from the wall. Plenty of hot water. Continental breakfast was a good selection of fruit, breads and jams. In the morning daylight the location seemed great for a stay in warmer weather.

A perfect place to stop over on our way back to the UK from Provence with two dogs. Friendly staff, an excellent and very reasonably priced evening meal, and a good breakfast to send us on our way. Our room was very comfortable, and overlooked a meadow full of deer. The dogs loved it, and had a couple of good walks through the beautiful woods nearby. We'd definitely stay there again!

Very original. Personal welcome by hosts. Very homely. Promotes friendly relations with other guests as we all eat at same large table. Food locally sourced and prepared in kitchen area of dining room. Bedroom décor in keeping with romantic atmosphere of chateau. Quite hard to find as up a track!

A little genm
A new discovery. Very welcoming and lovely location. Easy drive to Arc-en-Barrois for dinner. Exquisite chapel being restored and hopefully offering marriage packages in the future. The family are working very hard to make this a quality hotel and have done wonders so far.

We arrived late and they had bo idea we were coming. Fortunately they had room and nothing was too much trouble, even asked if the children were hungry. 12th century Chapel made amazing viewing after breakfast before we continued our journey.

På billederne kunne man få indtryk af en idyllisk og flot restaureret ejendom. Det er det ikke. Der er tale om en gammel fransk landejendom, som er rustikt istandsat indendørs. Udendørs er har man ikke gjort så meget ved, bl.a. hænger ledninger frit og dingler. Stedet ligger et stykke væk fra alt, og er det søndag er spisning i nærområdet i bedste fald vanskeligt. Wifi virkede ikke. Værtinden er meget venlig og imødekommende og kan fint begå sig på engelsk og en smule tysk. Servicen er meget fin. Er man indstillet på en gårdoplevelse i stil med bed&breakfast, så er stedet fint. Søger man en hoteloplevelse skal man ikke komme her. Vi gav 148 EUR for en overnatning for to voksne og to børn. Det er efter min mening for meget her.

Fantastiskt trevlig vistelse bland skog, park och djur. Personalen mef Stephanie i spetsen vsr väldigt hjälpsam och ordnade med fina middagar. Vi rekommenderar verkligen ett besök.

Unique spot on an estate, with free deer. Castle with a long history. Very hospital welcome ! At night not any sound could be heard ! Vintage like, personal design of interieur. A guarantee for a good night rest !

Helaas totaal niet ons ding, met z’n allen eten aan een grote tafel in Corona-tijd was voor ons de druppel, vooral omdat er iemand snotverkouden aan tafel zat. Veel ruimte en buitenleven-gevoel (met beesten) maar daardoor ook veel vliegen binnen... Bed voelde doorgezakt. We vonden door het hele huis ook een erg vreemde geur hangen, geen goed gevoel. Gastvrouw is superlief maar het is zeker geen 100,- waard voor wat je krijgt en wij hebben al bij heel veel B&B’s overnacht...

Een echte aanrader!
De gastvrouw was per toeval in het ziekenhuis met haar arm, toen wij aankwamen. Dus haar ouders hadden ons vriendelijk verwelkomt. En ook al konden ze geen woord Engel (hun dochter wel), toch waren ze uiterst vriendelijk en probeerde ons toch goed te verwelkommen. We hadden van te voren gezegd dat we niet bij zouden eten, maar toen we toch door omstandigheden vroegen of we mee konden eten. Probeerde ze eerst voor ons een restaurant in de buurt te bellen, maar omdat deze allemaal dicht waren hebben ze met alles wat ze hadden, een heerlijke maaltijd voor ons op tafel gezet. Ze waren uiterst gastvrij. Wel zit je in een omgeving, waar nauwelijks mensen wonen en ook geen tot nauwelijks wifi/internet/telefoonbereik (de andere franse gasten noemde het 1 van de 2 White Holes van frankrijk. Ze geven wel een wifi code, maar door de zeer lange verbinding is deze gewoon niet beter te krijgen (dat ligt aan het gebied en niet aan hun). Maar de natuur/omgeving/ontvangst ect maken alles 100% tot een zeer bijzondere ervaring.

Leuke en zorgzame uitbaters die het de gasten graag naar hun zin maken. Eten is gezamelijk met de andere gasten wat het erg leuk maakt. De aanwezige dieren (herten, zwijnen, kippen) waren erg leuk voor de kinderen. Kamers zijn erg ruim en een familie kamer heeft in het voorportaal een stapelbed voor de kinderen

Toplocatie in de rustige omgeving
Prachtige omgeving midden in de natuur en omgeven van dieren. Prachtige, gemotiveerde mensen die je heel goed ontvangen. Zeer ruime kamers, prachtig uitzicht op het park met wilde dieren. Heel lekker ontbijt en avondmaal. Alles was perfect!! Zeker een aanrader!!!!!
