Learn more about Aran Islands

An undoubted highlight of the Wild Atlantic Way are the Aran Islands, and places don’t come much more wild, or immersed in the Atlantic waters, than this chain of three dramatically isolated land masses. Set just off Galway Bay in the west of Ireland, and visible from the coastline for miles around, the islands exert an irresistible lure to those with a taste for adventure and act like sirens of the sea to those with an urge to escape from it all.

The Waters Country House

The Waters Country House

10/10 Excellent
"This place is an absolute gem! Beautiful room (I had the family room in an annex building which had a kind bed and 2 single beds plus an en-suite). I applaud all the details. The king bed was a box bed with curtains and painted ceiling. The decor was just like the pictures show. The furnishings were carefully thought out. There was tea and games available right outside the room. Breakfast was described as buffet but was actually made to order. Hosts were unbelievably kind and attentive. You can tell they put their hearts in this place. Scenery was breathtaking. I highly recommend this place. My family turned and hugged me when they saw our accommodations. Amazing!"
