Beautiful tranquil villa on a picturesque mountainside. Very clean, open villa with amazing Infinity pool, rainforest showers and dining area. Fantastic view of mountains, tea plantation and rapids. Shuttle service up mountain to villa. Very friendly staff with delicious dining service. Would absolutely recommend this stay.

This place is truly a hidden gem, and the staff is absolutely incredible! It should be on everyone’s list when visiting Sri Lanka. The owner is wonderful; she invited my friend and me for tea, picked us up in her SUV since our tuk-tuk couldn't make it up the hill due to an earlier accident, and welcomed us warmly despite our late check-in. She even called the staff in to prepare a delicious dinner for us, including an amazing spread of fried rice fit for a feast. The staff then helped drive our tuk-tuk up to the property and prepared an incredible breakfast for us the next morning. The service was exceptional, and the views from our room overlooking the water were breathtaking. I highly recommend staying here!

Ein tolles Hotel mitten in der Natur! Der Service war einfach klasse. Das Team kümmerte sich hervorragend, war super hilfsbereit und erfüllte uns jeden Wunsch! Das Essen im Restaurant war Spitzenklasse. Es gab eine tolle Karte, auf der man immer etwas Neues finden konnte, auch als Vegetarier. Daher haben wir jeden Abend im Hotel gegessen, zu ganz normalen Preisen. Das Frühstück war auch lecker und abwechslungsreich. Dank Sameera (Koch) haben wir jeden Tag vorzüglich gespeist. Hari und Asanka und auch das übrige Team machten unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem! Die Anlage (samt Pool) ist sehr gepflegt, die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Guter Ort, um einen Ausflug zum Ambuluwawa Tower zu machen und sich von den lauten Städten zu erholen!

Highlight of our Trip

No words can describe the views from this hidden gem. Waking up in the morning to breath in the fresh air is a slice of heaven. The staff was superb and so helpful and lovely. Food was delicious. The owner even stopped by for a chat after learning we were from Canada and had a video chat with her son in Singapore who grew up in Canada. The personal touches really were so nice. The villa is far out of the way but loved every minute of our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!

Surrounded by nature

Aqua Dunhinda Villa... I can't really describe it and even by looking at the photos you would only get a decent idea of how stunningly beautiful it actually is. It's located high up on a mountain and surrounded by pure nature. It's a magical place. The Mahaweli Ganga river flows through a ravine on one side and you can go down the mountainside to see it up close. The owners are very kind and caring and they have a super efficient staff to look after your needs. We genuinely felt that their objective was to make us forget all our worries as long as we were there. Our meals were prepared by a talented chef in home-style cooking and everything... yes, everything tasted great. When I booked this villa I had envisioned a relaxing environment. But when we actually stayed it felt as if we were experiencing luxury in the arms of nature. I recommend staying here for at least 2 or more days. It's a gorgeous setting where you can find your inner peace, relax and refresh yourselves.
