La Capatania was a great place to stay. We were able to walk to all the places to see in Antigua and dining options were very close. If walking is not for you then the tuk tuks are always close, many were sitting just across the street waiting for passengers. The staff was friendly and let us keep our bags there as we went on our hike to acantenango. I highly recommend La Capatania

Staff is amazingly nice, great location as well. The only downside is that we had a room next to the laundry room.... so, in between very early Am to 10 pm their is noise from the washer and dryer. We would hear people arriving and leaving. ..annoying too when they get up early for activities...Beds are real stiff, be aware!

Pleasant, good location, clean. Needs are good and comfortable. We had a great night sleep. Only problem was the wifi did not reach the room, and we could not watch Netflix.

Very clean and close to everything

La Capitania was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. We felt very safe and aside from outside city noise, the hotel itself was very quiet. It is walking distance to everything in town. They made sure we got to the airport safely and on time at the end of our stay. Make sure to contact them before you get there so you get instructions on how to get through the gate.

The bed was good, the room had AC. The shower was fine with warm water. Enough space in the room. The lady at the reception was a bit grumphy, but at the end she helped us out in her way.

Small and not that quiet

Clean room with a good mattress but rather small ,dont expect to put a second suitcase somewhere. Glass panel above the room door without any cover so expect to be awaken when someone turns the hall lights on.The main window curtain is not lightproof either. It overlooks a church ,but 30m beyond is a very busy road and you can hear in the distance horning trucks,motorcycle and so on. Bathroom is ok ,warm water available. Ok if you have excursions starting early….

Cute little hotel. It was perfect for us. When we arrived the front desk didn’t speak English and the paperwork wasn’t in English. We had to ask our tour guide to help. Netflix was on the tv but it didn’t work. Stairs are a bit narrow. Be careful when coming down with luggage. My friend fell down the stairs. Room could use an iron and a little fridge. Walking distance from everything. AC worked very well. Very clean. We even got a light clean while we were out and about. That was nice. Loved the roof top terrace. Loved the window in the room too. Super cute. I felt very safe.

A pleasant surprise after reading some negative reviews. The hotel and our room were spotless and smelled very good. The staff was very nice and always had a smile on their face. A short walk to downtown Antigua. We would definitely stay here again.

My room was large and the bed and pillows extremely comfortable. The bathroom was freshly renovated and the room and common areas absolutely spotless. The receptionist was very sweet and they were helpful in arranging a private shuttle for me. I would stay here again.

Nice, affordable, very well-located hotel in Antigua. The owners are extremely nice and accommodating. They also have laundry service in case you need it. I spent two night at this hotel and cannot be happier. The breakfast included is homemade and delicious. I stayed at the room with private bathroom, but the shared bathroom looked clean and private.

This is a gem in Antigua! Very clean and comfortable rooms with a large gathering are on the first floor. Well decorated and very comfortable beds! I love reading a book on the roof top terrace after a day of walking the streets! The views of the volcanos is great day and night! I will go back in a heart beat! Thank you
