"The hotel is modern and beautiful! The design choices blend into the natural setting of Bohinj. There is a menu of pillow choices too. We used the spa (Finnish and Turkish spas, salt room, pool), which was included in our stay. The included breakfast was the best we had in Slovenia. There is outdoor seating on the lawn overlooking the lake and a fire pit. Great jump off to Lake Bled as there is less traffic coming and going from Bohinj."

"This hotel was an excellent choice during my stay in Ljubljana. The ac worked really well, the bed was comfortable, the shower ran hot and cold water easily, and the whole property looked clean and was overall well maintained. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, as I was pleased they carried several vegan options. This included oats, two types of cereal, different bread types and various jams, almond and soya milk, many types of fruits, hash browns, soy patties that looked like falafels, hummus, pickled vegetables, mixed legumes protein salad, baked beans, various juices, and probably other things that I may have missed, but these were the staples I saw. The breakfast hours were also generous, starting at 6:30am and ending at 10:30am. I did see they had a fitness area on floor 1, but I didn’t get the opportunity to use it. They do have a tiny market where you can buy some beverages and snacks, and have a water refill station, so you don’t need to keep buying water bottles during your stay. The location was also perfect as it was around the corner from the dragon bridge, main market, and lots of restaurants. The day tour I had reserved also had this hotel as one of its meeting points, so that was convenient. Definitely consider this hotel if staying in Ljubljana."

"The feel was very welcoming. It seems to be family owned and very nice. The breakfast was very good - fresh fruit and vegetables. An assortment of cookies, bread sweet treats, fruit drinks and if you wanted cooked eggs or an omelet. Just a very pleasant atmosphere. There was a veranda for outside breakfast dining or afternoon break. They even offered to do laundry when we asked. Highly recommend"

"We stayed 2 nights and loved the hotel the staff were very helpful, we ate in the restaurant which was very nice! Room was spacious and couldn’t fault the cleanliness at all ! It’s outside of city so a car would be useful but there is a lovely walk to the city away from busy roads !"

"Our stay at Hotel Blue Mare was wonderful. Our room had a beautiful view of the harbor in Novigrad. The room was clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous during our stay. The breakfast in the morning was also wonderful with many delicious options. We hope to stay here again the next time we are in Istria."
