Dirty and not secure
We reported cleanliness issues last time we stayed. We ended up with the same room and the problems had not been taken care of and were worse. There were stains on the bed skirt. A rusty and moldy shower head. Mold on the shower curtain and wall above the shower. It was obvious the carpet had not been vacuumed behind the nightstand in a very long time. When checking in they gave us the wrong room, 1 Queen vs 2 and then it took at least 15 minutes for them to correct. We were out until 11pm and our room key did not work on the front security door. There was nobody at the front desk to notice so had to call the front desk to get access into the hotel. Finally, when we dropped off our bag in our room upon arrival we noticed that the window was not locked and the screen had been bent as though someone had tried to gain entry at some point. If we had not happened to look, who knows if any of our stuff would still have been there on our return. We travel to visit family in the area about once a month. Unfortunately we will be finding a different place to stay as this is unacceptable.

Pool was closed...room hadn't been properly cleaned...I know this because the bathroom garbage was full and we never used it...the town smelled like pig poo...all in all...not going again because even the nicest people can't make up for all that.

The property looked well kept. The AC worked well, and we had adequate towels and linens. We were disappointed by the worn out bed, and though a breakfast was advertised, there were some easy essentials missing like yogurt and fresh fruits. Even describing it as a continental breakfast is likely an overstatement.

Needs a huge update. Most importantly, there was a death at the hotel of an unidentified guest. It was both alarming, sad, and confusing. The hotel made no effort to inform the other guest of what happened, or reassure the other guest that their stay would be unaffected.

Stayed two weeks, staff is I believe husband and wife very sweet couple. Train isnt as bad as most make it out, beds are very comfortable. My whole 2 weeks my room was made up everyday. Overall a nice hotel but not worth the rates they charge. Found comparable hotel for over half cheaper than this hotel with better amenities. That was my main complaint here

Nothing flashy but adequate
This hotel was a nice cheaper option to stay at. The building is slightly outdated but definitely did not affect our stay. The worker was quite polite and helpful. I do feel like the bathroom could use a deep scrub but it was not gross by any means. Overall I would stay again.
