"5 Star Indian, but with some definite things to consider before booking. First they play Better Together by Jack Johnson across the hotel on auto-repeat. No gaps, no songs in between, you can guess the next song... Better Together... well except for at breakfast. There you will get a tight repeat of a Krishna Yoga Tune inside and Jack on the patio. The yoga music has no gaps and repeats the same phrases again and again until you want to scream. I'll get back to the subject of breakfast in a bit. Call me shallow, but I value my sanity, and repeated music will send me over the edge. The next issue is that we booked a club king suite with a wooden ceiling and an un-interrupted view of the mountainside. Well.... that's not what we got. We got a "nice" king room half tucked behind the cheaper part of the hotel. Half a view for the same price. Definitely bait and switch... and no pretty wooden ceiling. The room had broken wifi and a broken fridge. The internet never worked properly during our stay. Breakfast was nice on the surface, but although we got there early it was stale. The croissants and bread were stale. The hash brown potatoes were probably cooked at 6am and we ate at 8am. The omelet was good. Jack Johnson joined us on the patio for breakfast and sung Better Together to us about 12 times. The coffee was good, and that was the only thing that kept me sane. We did not eat at the restaurant other than breakfast. It is a high-end hotel in a remote location."

"We have spent over 78,000 rupees for 4 rooms and once I booked the rooms the hotel contacted me and asked me what we needed for my mums accessibility needs. We have even emailed the hotel prior to ask for either a raised accessible toilet seat / commode. I was told that they had wall mounted toilets whilst I was already on the way to the hotel and had set off on a 7 hour journey when they contacted me whilst I had no wifi. I sent pictures of the toilet seat that was required for my disabled mother. Once we arrived at the hotel they said they could not accommodate this. They asked for a further INR 21,500 for an accessible room that didn’t have the height of the toilet seat that my mother required in the emails prior to my stay. I only booked this hotel as it was advertised as being wheelchair accessible and disability friendly. Ishant the front desk member of staff said he could provide a commode for a total of 5500 rupees which is around £50 gbp sterling. This I find disgusting when we expressed our needs as soon as the 4 rooms had been booked. Firstly as if another disabled customer visited this hotel next week how would they then assist this disabled customer with the same disability if they have no interest in keeping a raised toilet seat / commode on the hotel grounds. Secondly when I asked to speak to a manager for the front of house office this was refused. We were told to visit the restaurant to spend time there whilst they were trying to sort out the toilet seat c"

"Overall, the staff were polite and courteous, which was definitely a positive. However, the location of the property is quite inconvenient — there’s nothing nearby, and you need to drive at least 30 minutes just to find food outside. The in-house restaurant is quite expensive, and the portion sizes are small for the price charged. At times, the staff would call even when we preferred not to be disturbed. The rooms also felt dated, and the property does not match the way it is portrayed in the photos. In summary, apart from the good staff, there wasn’t much that stood out positively about the stay."

"Turned up in Dharamshala, get to hotel, has not existed for 2 years. Clearly been sold and rebranded. Yet somehow Hotels.com managed to book us a room. Absolutely unbelievable. $25 Onecash credit compensation for 3 rooms, 3 adults had to rebook somewhere else at walk up rates and this is what Hotels.com thought was appropriate compensation. Comical incompetence. "

"We, as a family, had wonderful experiences at this Hotel. Checkin was smooth. Food was awesome. View from the room were breathtaking, beautiful! It rained overnight very heavily and experienced a water leak in some areas, but Hotel staff was very prompt in responding to the situation. Checkout had a glitch with International credit cards, but managed with UPI payment options. One word of caution though, this place is not for the faint hearted people, its very stiff climb up the stairs to top floor, but once you reach there it’s totally worth it! Bathrooms were clean. Overall, must visit place, would go back again."
