The bed was super comfortable, and the location could not have been more perfect. The staff at the front, Helena was super helpful with navigating public transit when we were confused and would absolutely stay at this hotel again and again given the opportunity."

"Hotel is in the good location and outside of location looks good like palace. Lobby reasonably ok. But room is very very small, inside room , the ambience is not good. Small cell like feeling. I observed one bug crawling in the bathroom. Shower gas shampoo and conditioner only, but no body soap inside shower. We had to take hand wash / body wash liquid bottle from sink area to shower area. "

"This historical property is absolutely beautiful and amazing. The age means the rooms are a bit tight, the windows shook in the high winds that night, and I would have loved some conditioner in the room, but other than that everything was great. Wonderful, elegant bar area and the French restaurant was top notch. If you are coming to see Coimbra, drive a little further and stay at Bussaco Palace... very reasonable rates considering where you are staying. Also tour the attached convent for 3 euros more... worth it as well. Highly recommend!"
