"Room was clean. Hotel is a little older. The only issue we had, was an extra security deposit that we were unaware of when making reservations. It is an ok hotel for a quick weekend getaway. "

"Nice place, convenient to the square but the TV was steaming and it kept freezing up. The desk person did not know what to do and there was not TV instructions in the room and she didn’t have any at the desk. "

"We decided last minute to go to Dahlonega just for one night. We decided on The Smith House because it was in town and we could walk wherever we wanted to go. The room was a king room in the lodge but did not have a balcony like the ones in front. We had a small window that faced the parking garage. The parking was ok. With all the weddings and parties we were able to get a good spot. The room was very comfortable. The only bad thing was that the shower stopper would not stay up so my husband was standing in a bath tub filled with water as he was taking a shower. I would highly reccommend staying here as we would love to again. Only be sure to ask for a balcony if you want to sit and relax in a rocking chair."
