"Great stay in a comfortable well equipped, top floor attic room. Wifi a bit hit and miss, but manager was very helpful and tried to reboot it. Should have asked if they had a couple of softer pillows. Complimentary biscuits, and water in room, nespresso coffee machine, smart tv and great refurbed bathroom with touchlit mirror, pleasant branded shampoo, conditioner and shower gel."

"Our stay was amazing. The room was spacious, quaint and felt like we had gone back in time. The building was 800 years old, so the floors and stairs were uneven, but it only added to the charm. We loved it! The bathrooms were modernized and spotless. Breakfast was cooked to order along with a buffet. It was delicious. The staff was delightful. They couldn't have been any better. The location was close to the cathedral and about a 20 minute walk to the train station. "

"Really lovely break, room was clean and of a good standard, breakfast option excellent as was the staff. Only downside was the building works and workmen outside our window, a little unsightly and workmen very unexpected. Everything else perfect. Definitely worth a visit, in the centre of the city with everything on your doorstep."

"We had a great stay at Bartley Lodge after visiting Peppa Pig world inside Paultons Park Family of four: two adults and two kids age 3 and 7 - both autistic so they are loud and a bit restless waiting, but we felt welcome and comfortable during our stay. The lady managing the dining room brought them colours and books for the table to play with as the conservatory had less WiFi signal for watching cartoons. Great breakfast options really filling and fresh including the usual familiar cereal and toast and juice The room was comfortable, with enough space for all of us. The children were provided with fold out mini-beds that were made up with bedding. They slept comfortably. Our bed was comfortable and cosy The bathroom had a bath with a shower over the top. Soap and shower gel provided with big thick towels. The only thing missing was a wash cloth but we made do We were quite warm in the night but we did not want to leave the window open while we slept incase the children tried to climb through (traditional lift-up window). The grounds were beautiful and we had short walk around in the morning to say hi to the sheep and cows roaming the fields which was a lovely touch Overall it was a lovely stay and we would come again and recommend it to friends and family wanting to stay in the area. "
