"I stayed at this hotel for a 1 night stay prior to getting the Ferry to Jersey. I will start my review with the car parking- I arrived early got a space no problem! On an exceptionaly busy night if you arrived late it might not be so straight forward. The Parking cost 10 pounds which actually I don’t think is to bad. Location - bit of a walk to sea front there is a shopping center very close by and KFC is a 5/10 min walk! The drive to the very port was very easy and straight forward took less than 10 mins if that so location was good. Room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable Breakfast was okay. On the whole hotel was perfect for what I wanted and very fit for purpose"

"Good family room. Ac was working fine. No minibar fridge in room. Asked room service to clean the room after 2 night stay and went out but it was untouched when I came back. Breakfast was ok. Pool was good. But spa facilities busy most of the time. Reception staff were very helpful. Overall good stay."

"One of our rooms was very hot and loud because it’s near the extraction fan from the restaurant. Another room where my parents stayed, the heating was on (during a May heat wave) and the tap/showering water was boiling hot with no cold running at all. The staff came to check, said there are no spare rooms to switch to because of the bank holiday weekend. They called the manager, promised to give me an answer, but then I saw ran to her car and never showed again. I asked another staff member. They called the manager and said they will give me partial refund and discount for breakfast, but I will need to wait until 9am tomorrow for the manager to come. We waited until 11am and the manager never showed up. I left my number to ask them to call me. No returned call. I have asked agent to follow up with them. Again, 1st they said they will refund, but need to wait the manager to sign off. I just received message that this hotel refused to refund. They charged double their usual rate and they provided little to no service, no management and poor living conditions."

"One of the best hotels I have had the privilege to stay in❤️ From the checking in with Amanda to the room itself, absolutely beautiful . A pitty the weather didn’t play ball, location amazing , view amazing , city a short stroll away. If you want a nice hotel this is the one for you!"

"Spent one night at The George. The staff were very friendly, check in was very smooth. Very knowledgeable about car parking in the town. Our room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. We slept well. The bathroom was well appointed, the shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good. My partner had a full English which he was very pleased with. I had poached eggs which were perfectly cooked. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area."
