"I booked and prepaid for a three-night stay in Vienna through Hotels.com. At check-in, the front desk informed me that the charge they were placing on my credit card was only a deposit/hold for incidentals. Unfortunately, that representation was inaccurate. After returning home, I discovered that the hotel charged my card again for the full cost of the room, despite the stay already being paid for through the booking platform. This resulted in two separate charges for the same three-night stay. What is particularly concerning is the lack of response since then. I have contacted the hotel five times over the past week requesting clarification and resolution and have received no response whatsoever. Errors can happen in hospitality operations. However, mischaracterizing a charge as a deposit and then failing to respond to multiple attempts to resolve a billing issue raises serious concerns about billing practices and customer service standards. For transparency to future guests: if you book through Hotels.com or another third-party platform, I strongly recommend reviewing your credit card statement carefully after checkout to ensure you have not been charged twice. I would appreciate a response from hotel management to resolve the duplicate charge and clarify the property’s billing practices."

"Close to restaurants, Schonbrunn Palace, trains, etc. Quieter area and close to walk gardens of the palace, zoo, etc. loved our stay. "

"Biggest plus: location and clean rooms. Improvements needed: Check in service, while swift was lacking hospitality. Rooms are very small and had the shower facing the bedroom. Almost zero room on sink counter. Restaurant (Gulasche & Sohn) was very good for dinner and breakfast."

Eggs scrambled or hard boiled, bacon , baked beans, cut meats , sausages,cheeses, fruit salad , yoghurt , Austrian pastries , proper coffee machine with all the different coffee options, good selection teas, cereal, delicious Austrian fresh breads, juices and water ..."
