"Set in gorgeous surroundings, the field barn has everything you need for a rural retreat. It was always warm (something which we considered before booking it for our December stay) and we felt at home right away. Beds were clean and comfortable. "Very convenient for Carlisle railway station. The room was very clean and functional, although the temperature control didn't seem to work. The rooms at the rear are the quieter ones and will be allocated if available (and requested in advance). The choice of items at breakfast was very good.
