What really led me to drop the rating was that I asked the fromy desk to get me a taxi to the train station, a car arrived drove me 21 minutes to the train station then charged me 50 euros! I asked them to book me a taxi not a private driver it should have cost me 20 euros. Very unhappy about the experience."

"Villa Maia is beautiful. Our room was excellent, very clean, spacious, with a terrace and beautiful views of the garden. We traveled with two dogs, who were both given bowls, water, and treats. The hotel has a pet sitter! This was a first for us and he was very reasonably price. Very nice and friendly and our dogs fell in love with him (Hi Calixte!). The staff is very courteous, warm, hospitable, and had excellent recommendations for dinners. Villa Maia has a spa that is spacious and luxurious...
