"OK hotel near the beach, rooms near the pool are a bit small (bed is almost against the wall on one side and there's no bedside table or lamp on the other side, as there's no space), but overall a good option for staying in Uvita. Breakfast is an extra 5000 colones and has 3 options: granola with yogurt & fruit (they call is muesli but it's granola), Costa Rican (gallo pinto with eggs), and American style (eggs, bacon & toast)"

"It’s funky but great to have both AC and a mosquito net. Basic washroom with a cold shower. Sometimes a bit noisy in the morning when all the atv’s and motorcycles start but that’s because the locals are up even earlier getting ready for the day’s tourist expeditions. If you're close to Uvita, check the tide schedule and get down to the beach! Humpback whales raise their young in Marino Bellena as the waters are shallow and warm and they feel safe. Coincidentally, at low tide, the beach forms a "whale's tail" shape, and it's stunning to see. There is a National Park entrance fee, that I believe was in the $3-6 range for the day.
