"Boulder Garden Hotel is the most beautifull hotel I have ever been to. It is located in the middle of a forest. Except for the rooms, everything is in the outside: the restaurant is located below a huge boulder, the swimming pool is in the middle of rocks. The personel is very friendly and helpfull. The food is very good and relatively cheap (our dinner was 12 USD for two). The hotel is very small: there are only 5 or 6 rooms. So nearly all of it is there for you only. I recomend it very much. "

"The road to Rainforest edge is not good - and you can miss it. It's only partly tarmac, and that pitted. It's uphill, winding, and goes through a tea factory. But when you get there... It's like a medieval castle: great boulders below, tiled roofs above, and an infinity pool looking out over the mountains. "There is a lot to like about the Slightly Chilled Yellow House. The staff was excellent - very knowledgeable and eager to accommodate any request. Breakfasts were very good and plentiful. The location is great - just 500m to the start of the Adam’s Peak trail. And there are other walks through tea plantations right out the door. The room was generally fine, though felt a bit tired - not run down, just not crisp. It also smelled musty."

"Amazing value for money! Pleasant helpful staff. Food varied according to chef from superb (We had one of the best meals of our trip here) to slightly disappointing, food cool, sandwiches a bit curly. Handy location for Ratnapura and its busy gem dealers. Wifi fine, though no pool. Photos of activities slightly naughty as they are not on site or within walking distance. We had a very pleasant stay here."

"There was no towel ready when we came and it took them 30 minutes+ to get even though we ask two times and they said 2 minutes. We ordered tea to the room which was also very slow. Seems like they forgot we came. Otherwise, nice place with a beautiful view. Last thing, google maps didnt show right direction. When we called them they knew that it show a wrong route, so we (our driver) had a 45 minutes detour. "

"Dirty beds, bedsheets and bathroom. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody. Bathroom was leaking and dirty with spiders and spiderwebs. Room is like a jail, no windows. It was a horrible experience. I advise travellers to stay at Hatton and travel to Nallandeniya on time to clime Adam's peak."
