"We only stayed for one night. Its location was excellent as it was very close to the Taj Mahal. The owner was very helpful with shopping advice as we arrived on Thursday evening and didn’t realize that the shops would be closed on the Friday. The room facilities were all adequate and comfortable but I only gave this a 3 as the room was very small and would feel claustrophobic to hang out in if you wanted a day of rest. As we were only sleeping overnight it was ok. "

We stayed one night in Dholpur--a quiet outpost on the road to Agra--at the Raj Niwas, a 19th-century palace hedged by private gardens. We arrived late and were met by the proprietress, an animated woman appropriately named ‘Bubbles’, who settled us into a cavernous suite at the top of an elegant staircase. With weary glee we examined our room's elaborate bath with eight shower heads, ornately furnished dressing chamber, and 40-foot ceiling decorated with intricate, glittering tile. "Everything about this hotel was terrible. Don't believe any of the reviews. We think they are all fake. When we arrived, there were no towels and the water wasn't running. The whole room is shabby and run down. The bathroom floor was wet from a continuous leak. And all of the fixtures are filthy..The pillows did not have cases and were dirty. The bathroom has no knob, the walls are dirty. We paid for the breakfast and dinner included, but at dinner the options are limited to a few choices and there were no beverages. The breakfast consists of different types of bread."
