The location is close to lots of great restaurants and things to do in Maya Beach as well a a quick golf cart ride to Placencia. The cherry on top to this resort is their incredible staff. "Great place, walking distance from everything. The room size and amenities were great, and well worth the price. Friendly staff, and fruit trees instead of a continental breakfast.
This is where I will be staying for any future visits to Placencia, it checked off all my boxes."

Royal Rat Hostel
Royal Rat HostelPlacencia
10/10 Excellent
Lovely friendly owners who go out of their way to help out. Very clean. Comfy beds. good kitchen. Great pool and sunbeds. A very sociable place, the owners also put on a couple of nights making it easy to meet the other guests.
Its a little way out of the village (not walking distance), but you can easily hitch a ride or use one of the bikes at the hostel to cycle in.
