"I really enjoyed my stay here. It is postgraduate student halls- so come with that expectation. The bathroom is shared however the halls are so quiet, I rarely saw anyone over my 4 day stay. They're also cleaned daily and are very usable. Its very pleasant and the atmosphere is overall really nice. You won't find a hotel in London with a roof top terrace, gardens and cooking space for the same price. "

"The Dover is a traditional style small hotel that is located a short walk from Victoria Station. Like many such places in this area, the hotels are 'townhouse' style, narrow historic buildings with many floors and, being narrow architecture, only a handful of tiny rooms on each floor. Some of these places do not have elevators, and the Dover is one of these, so if you have difficulty climbing stairs and/or lots of luggage, you might want to take this into account when choosing one of these...

"It was totally good by considering the price"

"It is a beautiful property particularly in the common spaces (breakfast room, library). The rooms are in need of some work: a few small changes would make the rooms cleaner, brighter and functional. Consider small touches like kleenex and water glasses to more substantial ones like a small refrigerator and a fresh coat of paint. "The hotel was a short walk from Pimlico underground. The guys on reception couldn't do enough for us. Rooms were really nice with plenty of tea and coffee. Ensuite was perfect and bed was comfy. Nice choice for breakfast and freshly made. Only downside ... we were on the top floor and there isn't a lift ... about 12 flights of stairs and it nearly killed me!!! "

"This is a very nice place, but we didn’t realize we were not in the main house. We were in a guest house in the back and it had very narrow stairs. The bathroom was not luxurious at all. No mirror and it took us a while to figure out how to get the shower warm. "

I can’t say anything about the outer rooms however our room was at the top of the hotel very hot and stuffy with only a roof window to open. Room above a fast food outlet open till 2:00am. Window had to be open to cool the room a fan was supplied but that was more noisy than the fast food out let. Also as the window had to be open due to the time year we stayed, we were woken early by the light. "

"Perfectly acceptable no-contact lodgings for the price, with the benefit of walkability to central Oxford (if you're a good walker). The management was accessible by phone. The procedure for accessing the building and the room (once you are present on the site of the hotel) was clear. Two small suggestions: (1) stop relying on the app to verify identity, as not everyone has a phone that it works on. (2) if you tell guests the kitchen has coffee making facilities etc., make sure the kitchen...

"Great place to stay at a very reasonable price. Ideal for access to the city and good parking very nearby. Breakfast is a must with a good range of choices. Lots of opportunities for dining within easy walking distance. (Yummy House Chinese Takeaway just around the corner too). Highly recommended."
