A great hotel in a brilliant location, room serviced daily and well, most front desk staff were helpful and polite - Simon was the standout as a positive character. There was scaffolding around the front of the hotel, yet we saw no signs of work. This made for an unpleasant and unappealing entrance to the hotel and made the lobby dark - there are numerous lightbulbs out in the lobby too. Jasmine on the front desk has a particularly horrible attitude and manner of dealing with people, maybe it was a bad day, maybe the wrong job. Has to be noted that the front desk team are particularly loud, lots of shouting across to each other, not tremendously professional. Breakfast choice was good, but everything was single use plastic!!!! The single use cutlery was also plastic wrapped!!! There must be better options out there as it is wasteful and bad for the environment. A great stay, a little rough around the edges, but nothing a little training and guidance would cure.

The location was great! Close to the subway, major attractions & great restaurants. We walked to the Empire State Building. Recommend the Parlour Room next door. This hotel had the best breakfast with something for everyone, definitely worth it. Elevator very busy for the hotel, had to wait at times. Our room smelled strange from the AC. There was a floor tack sticking up in front of the bathroom. The shower didn’t have a good seal & leaked a little. In room coffee maker didn’t work. None of these things were deal breakers as we weren’t there much. Management took the complaints seriously & made it right. Would recommend this hotel.

Very convenient for the price point. No frills and the room was small, but the place was clean the bed was comfortable and the water was hot. I didn’t come to NYC to stay in my room so overall the hotel served its purpose very well. The staff was friendly and kind. Would definitely stay there again.
