"We have been to Victoria a few times as a family and have stayed at a different place each time. We like the Oswego the best for our family of 4. We for a King suite and it was just perfect. The kitchen is nice, perfect for a short or long stay, the bathroom was great and the hotel itself had so many pleasant surprises. They have a wonderful restaurant (We went on the burger night, and for happy hour, so good!), a quaint but good workout room, reading rooms, laundry room, and even extra bathrooms on each floor. Oh, I almost forgot, all their products are clean, the soap, shampoo, even the toilet paper is bamboo (What we use at home). If that matters to you, it is a huge plus.
We didn’t have a great view from our room, but that isn’t that important to us, we are out all day looking at gorgeous views. The location is great for walking, driving, and getting in and out of Victoria. I love how convenient it was to go into the garage with our vehicle and then just go straight up to our floor. With kids, this was so awesome.
The best thing about the Oswego was the staff. They were super nice, kind and accommodating. We wanted to use the outdoor fire pit in the garden to roast marshmallows, but the young lady who worked there tried to get it going, but it wouldn’t work, but she tried a few other solutions, but to no avail, but her kindness and effort throughout was commendable. If we can get a good rate the next time, this will be our go to hotel in Victoria for sure."
