This building basically needs to be condemned. I'd give it negative stars if that was possible. To add insult to injury, the owner tried to charge us twice -- we had pre-paid for the room and showed him proof but he keeps all of his records on a spreadsheet that said we hadn't paid yet. He charged our credit card a second time -- had to go through Chase to dispute the double charge. Overall a horrible, horrible experience. Stay VERY FAR AWAY!!!

Total scam
I could type the whole thing, but I'll make it quick so more will read it. He left me rude and insulting comments about my class and IQ because I had to cancel, even accepting his ridiculous cancellation policy. My eye surgery appointment getting canceled was beyond my control, causing him to tell me he won't refund any of the two days, even though policy shows half the charge as a fee. I see other reviewers post that he stores their credit card information, which worries me since when I got home I have 2 Email signups for adult content websites, which shows looking for singles from Florida area, which is known for credit card scams. Since he didn't honor the cancellation policy, I will dispute with credit card, and due to his vengeful attitude, I will also have to cancel my credit card. Beware of this scammer, and his "Hotel", which is just apartments in a very unsafe location that is very hard to find.

Could have been better.
Spacious and clean except kitchen walls were very dirty. No coffee maker. One mug. One light in a 5 bulb fixture in bathroom. No tv. Close to shopping and they did finally find us a place to park even though though we had asked well in advance.We won't stay there again.

You definately get what you paid for . It was clean and quiet easy to get to. No tv and no radio is a big down fall even though we did not spend much time in the place only to sleep but those things would be nice. Convience is definately great. Would stay again.

Clean basic appartment
It felt like a 1960s appartment, which hasn't been updated since then. Very basic, but clean. Had a full kitchen, washroom, and bedroom with living room. Beds were hard, but linen and towels were provided. Had unlimited wifi.

Comfy apartment rental for the weekend
We enjoyed having a home away from home for the weekend it was clean and very simple and basic which worked well for us to rent for the weekend and were more then comfortable having a home like space to spend our time in

Mold and sewage smells
There are mold on windows edge and sewage smells through out the unit. We filed a complaints with Expedia and ask for money and pack and move out right away.

This is an apartment. It is very basic. As I was only there to sleep it was alright. Wall very thin. Lots of ambient noise and curtains did not block street lighting.

Acceptable price and close to Skytrain and locatio
Expedia did not give a contact for the hotel when the hotel expect d me to confirm my booking. Trying to find the telephone number and drive took about one hour. The contact at the hotel had poor English skills and was very impatient. When I finally made contact, I was treated very well. I wasn't looking for luxury in the hotel so When I got bare bones I wasn't disappointed. I didn't see bed bugs, but no towel racks and missing light bulbs made me suspicious that cleanliness may also be neglected. I was safe, mostly comfortable, close to the Skytrain, close to my destination and an acceptable price made my stay fine. A little work would give a much better first impression.

Hotel close to the public transport
The picture shown on the ad belongs to a different place. There are two buildings with the same address number and the name of the street is deceiving (two different names). The building is shared with apartment rentals. The bathroom was furnished with a used bar of soap and half a container of liquid soap. There was a TV set in one of the rooms with no hook up to service. Advertised as having free parking available, but this was in the street. In a regular hotel there is room service and here there was none.

Met with Stanly, landlord, viewed room- new laminate floors, no TV, Wifi didn't work, beds musty, no linens, 2 towels, broken towel rack, toilet required plunging daily. I bought lysol and cleaned bath, kit and walls. Our view was of neighbors bedroom and living room 50' away. safe and secure, peaceful with free parking

Filthy.....silverfish crawling everywhere...mold everywhere....we demand our money back....can't believe vrbo would allow a place like this to be rented out.....nothing we could do but stay away all day and keep everything off the floor...

Great if you are back packing and looking for a quick and easy stop in location. Very limited and not the best condition for an extended stay. Host is great, helpful, and very friendly.

Owner of the apartment room didn't even know what day I was coming. Its a guy who lives in another apartment on the same floor. He keeps all credit cards on a excel document that he showed me on his computer. Very creepy and not a real motel. Would have rather spent my money elsewhere.

AirB&B not hotel. No soap, no toilet paper!
When I book a hotel through Expedia, I expect a hotel not an AirB&B. Expedia has misled me. Sure I could have read the review and would have know, but I was in a hurry. If Expedia wants to offer the AirB&B as an option then make a specific search for that. Do not list it amoung the hotels! Very disappointed in Expedia.

I did not stay. I had a hard time connecting with someone to get in and there were no sheets on the bed. I did not know I had to provide them. I did not have wi-fi and the person on site did not want to be bothered with a knock on the door. I did not have a phone that worked in Canada. It was not a good experience.

Not fancy but clean and convenient
A converted apartment and it was great to have the kitchen. A little hard to find but nice and close to Skytrain. Not fancy but a good deal for the price. Very clean and very quiet.

Don't get con'd by Stanely!
Not a real hotel! .... After arriving and finally locating the slumy apartment. We knew right away we weren't staying. There were crack heads and prostitutes. Stanley the manager, said, "no problem. I give u ur money back." once we left he denied and refused. Completely unprofessional!!!!

Apartment style hotel rental
It is basically an apartment building. No front desk, no usual hotel amenities. But, if looking for a place to stay, that is decent size, decent price, full kitchen, and close to Metrotown, then it is fine. Stanley, the caretaker, is easy to contact by text, if any issues. Very friendly.

The television cable signal was down completely for the entire stay. WiFi was up and down the first 24 hours - unusable until the owner reset the router. There were many missing and burned out bulbs. Three electrical outlets in the kitchen did not work. There was minimal kitchen gear, no glasswear. There were no sponge, paper towels or DW detergent. There was no air conditioning. The only ventilation available was the patio door which had to stay open overnight to cool down the apartment. The furnishings were minimal and cheap. The towels were old thin and threadbare. The whole place needed rehab and a paint job including the outside of the building. One kitchen cabinet door would not stay shut. The cutlery drawer went off track. The patio rail was loose and would break away if you leaned on it. The patio slab was coming away from the building. There was no housekeeping during the entire stay - towels, sheets, dishes, cleaning - nothing. The neighbors were noisy too. Every night a baby cried until the late hours.

The title "Canada Easy Lodge" was misleading. The accommodation is actually in a complex of apartments. There was no signage except for a number with another street name on the building. Although it was a 1 bedroom/1 longe flat it was clean but old. We only had 2 flat pillows the first night, enough to give me a sore neck, got 2 extra pillows on request. There were no hand towels or bath mats, towels were thin. Adequate cooking amenities, no toaster. There was no TV reception available or secure car parking (parked on road).

I have to be honest and don't want another family to be misled. This place is a farce. Completely misleading in pictures. It is not half as decent as the pictures indicate. There is no lobby, there is no parking structure. You park in front of a run down apartment building. The "room" is clean but also run down and old. Unfortunately, we had no choice but to stay because Expedia WOULD NOT refund any $$ and charge full price for entire stay. The "Hotel Owner/Landlord" was extremely rude and shaddy. I wish I would have checked other sites for reviews

Clean but...
We were met at the old apartment building and shown in. Limited amenities including no coffee maker. We received a text on check out day asking us to clean the apartment as much as possible. Sketchy neighborhood and very apparent drug users as tenants in the building. Will say that the apartment was very clean!

This is not a hotel but a short rental apartment. The owner was really nice, but the TV was not working, no air conditioning, no tooth brush, no shampoos. Do not expect something like a hotel or even a hostel room.

This is not a hotel at all it's an old apartment building that is run down. No receptionist you text a gentleman called Stanley and he gives you the keys to the apartment. No proper bedding; overal dirty; the corridor carpets dirty and smelly with horrible stains. Nothing at all nice about this and false advertising THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. AT BEST ITS A DIRTY YOUTH HOSTEL.

Fully equipped apartment.
Furnishings are pretty basic as is level of cleanliness. If you prefer to make your own meals when you are on the road this place has a full kitchen, although the cooking utensils (pots, spatulas...) are limited and very basic. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, overall cleanliness (especially in the bathroom) could be better but is manageable. There is no housekeeping (3 day stay), which is quite workable - not sure what happens if the stay is longer than 1 week.

I was pleasantly surprise by the size of the room. Important: this isn't your 'typical hotel'- more like an apartment building turned into hotel. The space was nice and big. Quiet and very close to Skytrain and Metrotown which is extremely valuable. Stanley was accommodating and always available if we needed something.

The owner was very efficient and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room of the apartment was very clean and it is in a very convenient position and easily accessible from downtown Vancouver. I would certainly stay there again and would have no hesitation in recommend it to any prospective guests wanting an apartment here.

Do not recommend..
The outside was nice, but that was deceiving in that the inside was dingy. I was pregnant and the "non smoking room" smelled strongly of smoke and there was no smoke detector. I didn't feel safe on the first floor and there is no gate for the parking lot. The room just did't look or feel clean. We ended up leaving right away. The staff however were very nice and helpful in getting us our money back and letting us go.

Bait and switch rat trap
You have to drive to location (there are 3-4) and wait for Stanley to show up. He then looks for a room that has been "cleaned". These are run down apartment buildings in an older neighbourhood. I would not recommend these these to someone I didn't like You guys did well in ensuring I did not pay for this and then trying to locate another room. Thanks

Pros: 5min walk to metrotown and sky train, you get a kitchen which could come in handy if you're staying a while Cons: the room had no ac, it was extremely stuffy and smelled horrible. You also don't have a choice between a smoking and non smoking room. The bed was basically like sleeping on a board and you're better off sleeping without a pillow then the flat, lumpy pillows provided...the shower had mold around the caucking and there was a bucket of dirty water and a mop just sitting next to it. The ends of the shower curtains were dirty and moldy as well....It says free wifi but you're just given a box of wires that you have to figure out on your own how to connect the internet. The place has no sign or anything and it's very confusing to find, and you have to call the owner to be let in.....all in all I would recommend to avoid this "hotel" at all costs unless it's your last option

Ruim en licht appartement
We hadden een verouderd maar licht en ruim appartement, dat schoon was. Aangenaam contact met de chinese verhuurder, die in dezelfde blok woont. Het ligt op anderhalve blok van Metrotown skyrail station van de expoline voor een snelle en interessante verbinding met het centrum. Goede bedden, zuiver beddengoed. Als je zelf je eten wil klaar maken, moet j aan de verhuurder eetgerei vragen want dat is er niet. Al bij al een positieve ervaring. We zouden er terug naar toe gaan.
