"Staff was extremely friendly and the location was great! The complimentary drinks, apps and breakfast was great! The place could use some updating (like the big gap under the door to the hallway so we could hear everything) but nothing too crazy. We lived the stay and will be back!! "

"This place was one of the best hotel stays we’ve had in a long time. It has this really cool 40’s roadtrip vibe that just gives you a peaceful feeling. They paid a lot of attention to details when they last updated this place, too. The shower was amazing, the sink and coffee area was a nice touch, as were the mid-century chairs and table. The best part was hands down the bed, though! It was seriously like sleeping on a cloud. The sheets and comforter were so soft, and the mattress was firm enough to support your weight, but also soft to feel like a hug. The best, most special part of the experience was finding a vintage radio and cassette tape in the room. They have their own box set of music for you to enjoy on your stay. It warmed my Gen X heart and was an unexpected, joyful touch. There is also a wonderful restaurant and cocktail lounge there, as well as a well-appointed general store. If we ever make it back to Flagstaff, we will absolutely spend more time at the High Country Motor Lodge. "
