"The two lady receptionists were very helpful, e.g.: asked how my room was, then fixed the problem of the air-conditioning, though it took 2 goes; quickly offering coffee as needed; helped ordering transport to the airport, coming out to where I was waiting in the next street, to say the car was stuck in traffic, then waited with me until he arrived. The balcony was pleasant but too busy sightseeing to use it."

"It's on a busy restaurant street. If you are facing that road be ready for noise (either from diners / happy go lucky folks in the evening / night time as well as cleaners / garbage collectors in the morning hours. The windows don't really noise insulate well. Staff are generally friendly. Good location in old town. More of a 3* hotel than 4* but I think this star inflation is common in Malta. "

"The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the high beamed ceiling, the very UK decor, and the balcony overlooking the street where the Easter parade passed by. A message sent us offered to organize the transfer to and from the property, but our message accepting that offer was ignored. That was just as well since the prices quoted were higher than what we experienced. Instead of 20 euro from the airport, the Malta Transfer van got us within a block of the property for five euro. "Excellent location, great breakfast, staff helpful, room clean. Close to ferries, bus station and everything in Valletta. Great roof top terrace looking over at 3 cities. Be aware of noisy bands and singers on weekend nights outside hotel. Poor WiFi which keeps dropping. "
