"The place was pretty run down, but I wasn't expecting a whole lot for the price. Our main issue was that there was a fire alarm in our room that chirped all night due to a low battery. When I asked the front desk to move rooms so we could get some sleep, I was denied. The gentleman at the frint desk tried to change the battery in the alarm to no avail and couldn't contact maintenance or management so we were stuck with the irritating chirp for the entire night and next morning. The worst part was when I mentioned the issue again at checkout, I received no apologies or anything. The breakfast was ok though."

"The place was run down not at all like the photos, staff not at all helpful… asked for extra coffee for room and couldn’t get any. Was told breakfast was at 6 a.m. but wasn’t ready until 7:30. And the ceiling right outside our room fell down!"

"I was denied a room because they “didn’t have any clean rooms available”. I asked for a refund and the attendant was apathetic and told me to contact the booking company I used. I asked him to write a signed statement as to why I couldn’t stay there and he refused, called who I assumed was his manager and then told me they could t do anything for me and reiterated “call the booking company you used”, so I did. The the support person I got at hotels.com seemed genuinely helpful and he tried to contact the manager/owner of the hotel to “see if they would waive the cancellation penalty” but was told they were too busy to talk. He assured me that they would make me priority and even though this sort of thing can take up to 72 hours, he’d try to get it done in 24-48 hours. It has been 24 hours and the status of the refund is still pending. I’ve receive multiple emails from Hotels.com and OYO hotel requesting feedback (I assume these are automated mailings), and I will give appropriate feedback when the matter is resolved."
