"The Zaza Hotel in the Houston Museum District is a classic. However, the room was smaller than average and overpriced compared to other hotels in the area.
The property appears poorly maintained. The room was not properly cleaned, and the carpets in both the room and corridors were dirty. There were numerous scratches along the hallways and even in the elevators, suggesting they have not been repainted in years. The concrete flooring around the pool is also cracked.
On a positive note, the reception staff was pleasant. However, valet parking is excessively expensive."
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Houston by the Galleria
10/10 Excellent
"We arrived very late at night and were extremely tired after traveling. The staff was very kind and accommodating. Our original room was having water issues, so they upgraded us to a room with a balcony, which we really appreciated. The room was clean, and the staff made a stressful late-night arrival much easier. Overall we had a positive experience and appreciated their helpfulness and customer service!"
"It was close to everything. Perfect hub for checking out apartments throughout Houston for my son who’s moving there.
The staff was great, especially Francisco the bartender in the restaurant!
We were also able to get early check in & late checkout.
Enjoyed the pool briefly.
Definitely would stay there again!"
"The stay was great only downfall was room was not cold. AC did not cool the room . My husband and I ended up moving the mattress to the floor so the air that was coming out could keep us cool."
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Houston - Greenway Plaza
8/10 Good
"They overall stay was great the staff was very helpful and the place was clean. My only complaint would be travel to the parking deck it’s kind of aggravating. I stayed in room 521 and the shower head was a bit messed up but still worked just happens to leak a bit at the top. Loved staying at the double tree overall and had an amazing time on my Houston visit. Hope to come back and would definitely recommend to others and book again if needed."
