"Off to a sterling start with quick and easy check-in, room was really nice, big, spotless and very comfortable bed. Considering the size of the room, the shower could have been a bit bigger! Otherwise everything was perfect. Good night's sleep. Up until Breakfast that is which was an absolute shambles! We wandered down just before 9 am considering breakfast went on till 10.30 am to find that they had ran out of such things as baked beans, pastries, muffins and the like. Waited absolutely ages for a re-stock on hot food. So long that someone cleared away our drinks that were still on our table so that when we went back to it it had been re-set!! Not so good. Need more staff on at breakfast time and certainly the kitchen need to be more aware of a full hotel when serving breakfast till 10.30 am not to run out of stuff at 9 am!! Other than breakfast the stay was great."

"The rooms are quite tired and outdated. Would be great for it to be modernised a bit more in line with the lovely spa facilities, which we're just perfect. Staff really helpful. Keiron was fab 😊. Breakfast was confusing in the buffet/help yourself area. Some rethinking of the guests experience of navigating breakfast choices would be helpful, also on the menus a clearer indication of vegetarian options, this was also confusing. But over all the hotel was just lovely, great location, views and location."

"Room was tired, shower pressure was very poor. The gym is old and rusted. The gym and swimming pool are part of a leisure centre so can be busy. The spa is over priced for the location.The restaurant is quite expensive. The fact you have to pay to park at a cost of £7.50 a day is a joke considering what you paying for the room."

"Very comfortable, with more individual design features than your average chain, and the Gloucester Indigo seemed very reasonably priced compared with some other cities. The staff are very helpful. We hadn't booked to include breakfast at £17.50 each per night, but found that paying at reception before 11pm the previous night got us breakfast for £15, while it would be £20 on the day. It was decent value at £15. Very convenient for rail and bus stations, and easily walkable to the cathedral and other places of interest. Check before booking that the museums etc will be open when you go."
