The staff were very welcoming and helpful, especially the gentleman on reception when I arrived. My room was fine but would benefit from an extra electric socket (I could only find one). However the room was good value for money.

The staff was super friendly and the room was very clean. Stayed here for 5 nights and felt comfortable. The walls aren’t sound proof and hearing people in the other rooms were a bit loud but other than that, the stay was okay.

Extremely helpful staff member on reception. TV in room had no signal , tried to fix it but not working. Offered us a change of room, which we declined as only staying 1 night. Offered us packed lunch for onward journey which we accepted.

Perfect as a base for visiting family. Stayed with a toddler in a family twin room. Room and hotel was very clean, buffet breakfast was great and staff were very friendly. The only snag was the shower didn't work very well but there was a bath as a back up anyway.

Water pressure in room is bad . Temperature of room was cold and no way to increase . Bathroom needs some TLC. It's was fine for overnight stay . Staff I met were nice.

We apologise for the water pressure in the room and take on board your comments concerning the bathroom. We appreciate the feedback and will take this into account when planning improvements as we strive to make a positive experience for all of our guests. We are sorry that the room was cold. The heating is on throughout the day and evening. It may have been that the thermostat was turned to 0 and not moved back to 5 when the room was checked. Please note that we are always happy to try and resolve heating issues where we can and do have portable mini heaters which we can add into rooms to generate more warmth if needed. Every member of staff went out of their way to ensure that we had a positive stay. They could not have done more. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The only niggle was the room was dated but having said that it was clean and we all had a good night's sleep.

My stay was perfectly pleasant. Staff were very friendly. The restaurant was very brightly lit...maybe lower the lighting to enhance the atmosphere? The walls were quite thin and i could hear most of the noises of the gentleman in the room next door!! However it was comfortable and I would stay there again.

Fantastic value hotel
Our triple room was excellent value for the 3 of us, very clean, comfortable and spacious. Very good location close to Stockport and good local pubs. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was good value too

On arrival went the bar for some late snacks. Ordered 3 starters. One was whitebait. At £7 one would expect more than 8 whitebait to be offered! The other two dishes were fine. I do feel the food was over priced. In the room the trouser was out of order, the extractor fan in the bathroom was not working and the 2 pin shaving socket was Brocken with the metal contacts inside showing and easily accessed! Could do with air conditioning in the room. Very disappointing experience.

A lovely old property in a convenient location, a great breakfast and friendly polite staff. The only slight issues were, there is no lift and there wasn't a fan in the bathroom. We will definitely use this hotel again.

I stayed for one night in a single room. Good car park. The staff were amazing friendly and helpful. Room was basic, but clean and functional. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. No lift. Short walk into the town centre, so well located. Great value for money.

Good size room and bathroom. All clean and in good condition. Breakfast was also very good with the usual hot choices. Dinner menu was limited but the food was great. And there was a residents’ discount. We would definitely return.
