A castle, with a view of the ocean, what more could you ask for? Well, maybe not a facecloth, or an in-room refrigerator, or an outlet on hubbie’s side of the bed for his CPAP, or an easy walk from the train station with all your luggage (call a taxi, trust us on this!). But the grounds are big and beautiful, including a “secret” garden, an outdoor pool, and a small golf course. The staff are unfailingly friendly, helpful and beyond competent. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. And there’s a lovely shortcut down the hill to the beach and town. And what a great town! Crooked little cobblestone streets, with lots of shops, restaurants, bakeries, and art galleries. The Southwest Coastal Path is there if you like hiking, with spectacular views. In summary, there’s a lot to love about the location, and the Tregenna Resort itself.

This is a great place to stay. Location wise it’s a 6-7 min walk to the beach and st Ives. Staff were all mega friendly and really helpful. Food both breakfast and dinner were great quality with good variety. Possibly a little pricey but similar to local restaurants of similar quality. Facilities were great with 2 pools spa and tennis courts. Room only had a double bed which in fairness is what I booked, but I’d forgotten how small a double is! Book the king size rooms if you can. Overall one of the nicest stays I’ve had in a while

Exterior and grounds are impressive however the interior is just average and the room we stayed in did not have any air conditioning or a telephone do when the tv did not work we had to make a trip to the front desk to get it fixed. Dining room was again just average but coffee shop was quite good Not a bad hotel just average

The breakfast was served late. Restaurant opened at 07:45. This was enforced. I was also told when I arrived by the manager that as I hadn’t booked a breakfast (before I arrived) I would not be allowed a breakfast till 09:30 on the Monday. When I queried this I was basically told. Nothing the manager could do. Luckily the restaurant staff were more helpful.
