We recently stayed in this hotel and found it to be an excellent choice for both convenience and comfort. The location is superb, situated near a beautiful park perfect for morning walks or evening strolls. Additionally, the high street is within easy walking distance, offering a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes, which added to the overall enjoyment of the stay.
The room was clean and comfortable.
The service was excellent.
Only downside was non availability of private parking space.
Would definitely stay here again for the comfort, location and service!

Very good choice for night before a cruise. Road construction around the hotel made walking into town a bit challenging. Great staff

We were there for just one night, prior to a cruise. Getting a taxi the next morning was an issue, as there were 4 cruise ships in port. We were travelling with 4 others, so got 1 taxi for 2 and big luggage, and the rest of us walked to the terminal, a 45 minute walk. Weirdly, the hotel is in the middle of a traffic circle, easily crossed to a beautiful park, close to high street

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights however we left quite disappointed. Our room was on the 4th floor and Im not sure how many times we had to go back on reception to take new room keys as they just stopped to work at anytime! The room was really dirty! Dirty towels, dust everywhere, hair in the bathroom on the floor and in the bathtub. We stayed at the one in London and it was amazing, nothing to do with this one. When I mentioned it at receptionist he apologised and said he would pass the complaint to HK department. He also asked if we wanted to change room but with 2 little kids we had lots of stuff so we refused! We won’t be staying again sorry! Hygiene it’s a must in 2024!

very friendly staff. Didn't like that you couldn't pay cash for anything. The breakfast when converted into Canadian dollars was very expensive almost $40.00. I would stay there again and have breakfast somewhere else.

The property is old and outdated, no complementary water and asked extra charge for checking in a little bit early for extra 25 pounds !
The room was ready and they knew we came from a 9 hour flight,and needed rest !
In the US hotels,if the room is ready , they don’t charge extra for checking in a little bit early and always have complementary water upon arrival at least !

Large room. Good breakfast. Across from a park and easy access to restaurants and shopping. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms could use a face lift, but overall clean., spacious and comfortable. We woulf come cack to this location..

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I could not fault the staff. The bathrooms however need some work as we had a couple of rooms and on both occasions something was not right in them.

overall a good hotel to stay at, but bathroom once arrived was not cleanly. There were stains all over the bathroom door, and the couch was ripped like a cat had attacked it.

I stayed at Leonardo Hotel after a cruise. The hotel was centrally located with numerous restaurants to choose. I ate at Khan’s Restaurant which is 2 blocks away which had delicious food with low prices. The hotel cost is very reasonable. They held my luggage while I did an excursion via a local taxi to Stonehenge and Salisbury which was also reasonably priced. My hotel room was very comfortable and clean. No complaints. I highly recommend Leonardo Hotel in Southampton.

We encountered several problems: deadbolt not working, toilet not flushing well, only very hot water from sink, TV volume difficult to adjust, staff entered room even though do not disturb was on door. Sam, night manager, did attempt to help by providing several amenities, but that does excuse the poor conditions in the room.

Despite getting an upgrade to an executive room on the 9th floor, the carpet was stained, chipped bathroom tiles and no tissues in the bathroom either. Constant loud banging of doors all night.
Menu choices limited and expensive- £17 for a burger! However staff were friendly and polite

This was fine. The room was feezing, thermostat couldn't be adjusted and the shower little more than a tepid dribble that you had to stand very close to the wall to get slightly wet. The shower had a shower curtain, which is horribly old fashioned. I would've liked to see a fridge and free bottled water in the room. I appreciated the hairdryer. I stayed in a 'standard' room and I guess a higher price band room would be more modern.
However, the bed was comfortable, and the bar/cafe and staff were excellent.
What really lets the place down is beyond its control; the road works that make it difficult to cross the road and navigate into the city centre. It is convenient for the centre.

I actually tried to give a four star rating, but there seemed to be a glitch in the system that would only allow three stars. The reason it lost one star was a hotel policy I have never seen before. Maybe it is common in England, but I don’t like it. The policy is that they won’t give you access to your room until the official check-in time — even if your room is ready. They would prefer that you sit in the lobby and wait for hours while your clean and vacant hotel room is also waiting for you. I sure hope that policy doesn’t spread to other places.
Anyway, other than that the staff was wonderful and I really liked the location. The hotel literally sits on the border between two vastly different neighborhoods. Go out the back door, and there are only Halal takeout restaurants, mosques, and women in hijabs and veils. Go out the front door, and England and pubs await you.

We enjoyed staying at the Leonardo Hotel in Charlotte Place in Southampton. The staff were courteous and helpful. The breakfast was good and checking in and out was easy.
The hotel did go the extra mile by letting us store our luggage for a few hours before our check in time so we could go out and look around the shops and attend the local showcase cinema.

The first room we were given on floor 11 had a very pungent smell and mould on the carpet. We could not sleep there. Luckily the wonderful reception team relocated us and everything else was fine

Overnight stay whilst visiting Southampton. Good hotel and staff. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Literally situated in the middle of a busy roundabout with extensive roadworks all around so getting to it on foot involved lots of complicated road crossings. Situated right next to the parks so lovely once you made it across the roads.
