"We only stayed for 1 night but would definitely recommend the Hotel Sigiriya and would stay here again should the opportunity present itself. Nice, clean and spacious rooms. The staff, especially at the restaurant (we had a bbq dinner buffet and breakfast buffet the next morning) were amazing. So friendly, courteous and helpful. The pool and pool views of the rock were great too! "

"We don’t understand why there are some medium reviews about this place; it is such a beautiful eco resort, lovely surroundings, great staff, you have a view of Sigiriya Rock from the pool, there are friendly monkeys and other sorts of beautiful animals around. The staff is very polite and helpful, they arranged us a transfer for the early morning climb. The included breakfast was very extensive and delicious, the dinner is not best but not bad either. The atmosphere is lovely, so it’s worth eating there. But the village is so close, you can just walk there and eat in one of the restaurants as well, so it’s not a big issue. We definitely recommend a stay here if you’re visiting the rock!!!"

"This is a magnificent property. It is a little bit out of Sigirya. Which was fine with us. We had the option to dine in, which we did on two of our three nights here and the food was nice, it could have been a little spicier (I think they cater a little bit much for western tastes). Breakfast was fantastic, we didn’t need lunch. The staff were extremely helpful. This is one of the nicest properties I have stayed in."

"My husband and I thought this was really neat. It's almost as though we were in the middle of the jungle. Gorgeous garden and pool. You'll also see some monsters, frogs and lizard! Staff were very v friendly we arrived almost 10pm our first night and they were willing to serve us dinner! We were grateful after a long day with no food! We would recommend it if you're in sigiriya! "

"Really enjoyed our short 2 days in Sigiriya - absolutely lovely hotel and amazing grounds. We really enjoyed the breakfast, all the staff were very nice and helpful. The spa was amazing as well - lovely massages and products on offer. Villa was stunning and very serene, the pool was amazing. The grounds have lots of wildlife and nature that’s very cool to see! The only thing we found a bit funny and awkward was that we weren’t able to invite our friend who was showing us round Sri Lanka to the villa to discuss our day plans. We were told this was against policy but I had a look online and it’s not in the terms and conditions on the website that guests aren’t allowed, nor was this highlighted when we booked so just felt a bit unnecessary. "

"Excellent stay in a lovely setting with swimming pool and nature pond. Clean and comfortable room with AC and WiFi. Lovely local breakfast provided each morning. Within walking distance to local restaurants or transport readily available if required. I also walked to Sigiriya Rock from the resort as it was close by. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful organising a trip to Dambulla and also to Pidurangala Rock for sunrise which were awesome. Overall I had a lovely stay and felt very welcome. The only thing to mention is the shower pressure is not great however this is due to the remote location and didn’t impact my stay. Thank you very much Scott "
