Hotel building and properties were well maintained and updated. Staff at the desk was friendly but english was poor. Restaurant staff was down right rude and inhospitable. Food was good but service negatively impacted the review. Concierge or at the door person had to be convinced to get us a cab.

Nice room in a good location, but there was water dripping from the bathroom ceiling and it made noise all night long. Hallway ceilings were under construction, so there were large holes in the ceiling. Otherwise, it was fine and staff were helpful.

The staff is very nice and the hotel lobby is pretty. The rooms are very small and congested (beds and bathroom). Beds are hard and the linen is poor quality. Limited power outlets in awkward places around the room. Amenities in the bathroom were not refilled properly even after service. The elevators are extremely slow and unintuitive and it takes forever to get to the room from the lobby and back. Still use stripe card keys that tend to get demagnetized easily. Lastly in my case EXTREMELY noisy! There was construction going on right above my room and they ran a drill on a Friday morning from 8am till late evening. No warning was provided for me to make alternate arrangements in time for my office calls. Then on Friday night through Sat afternoon, the neighboring building had some sort of low whining alarm blaring through and through.

Colchão muito firme, só um travesseiro. Ar condicionado um pouco fraco. Limpeza foi excelente. Sauna, piscina grande e aquecida maravilhosa. O vaso sanitário não dava descarga com pressão, quase impossível fazer tudo descer bem. Mattress was very firm, only 1 pillow. Air conditioning was a little weak. Cleaning was excellent. Sauna was working fine and the pool is huge and heated. Toilet had weak pressure, impossible to flush if toilet paper is thrown. Outdated features and look, however the room still looked alright.

Check in was a little rough… the 8th floor has the 1800 number rooms, not the 800’s, which is simple enough, but my key didn’t work, so I started to doubt it, then I needed the key to operate the elevator, so I was stuck. The area is great for shopping and dining. The rooms are small but a good layout with a tv that swivels from bedroom to living room with a kitchenette.

Super recomedado. Pedimos uma cama extra para o meu filho e veio com uma cabaninha que ele amou. A piscina para os dias de calor não sei, mas quando esta friozinho muito boa. O quarto é mais silencioso do que eu imaginei, talvez por ser fim de semana. Excelente localização.

Great stay at Mercure Pinheiros
Came to São Paulo on business and had to work close to Avenida Paulista. All of the other hotels were more expensive and didn’t offer much. Was more than happy with my stay at the Mercure. Safe neighborhood, with restaurants lose by. Hotel staff were fabulous!

Solid stay close to Avenida Paulista!
Front desk staff was incredibly helpful and informative. Good location to get Ubers. Not too far from Avenida Paulista. Breakfast was also good. They are currently renovating the pool so couldn’t use it. But the small gym is a good to get a quick workout in! Comfortable beds!

Great hotel!
Great and safe location, many restaurants and supermarkets you can walk to. Hotel is nice, staff is friendly, and my kid loved the indoor pool! I would be back in the future.

It's in the middle of sao Paulo making all uber trips quick. I felt safe there. My only complaint is they never cleaned the room while we were there unless we request it. We were there 4 days. I'm use to beds bing made everyday but not here. Maybe this is a good thing for privacy and to slow the spread of covid I'm not sure

O staff é muito bom, gentis, etc. O quarto é um pouco barulhento e houve um vazamento de na nossa ausência, sem que ninguém nos comunicasse nada. Chegamos e tivemos que secar o banheiro. Falei com a recepção e nada aconteceu. Mas no geral, vale o custo benefício.

Great location, poor maintenance
This hotel is in a great upper mid class area of Sao Paolo with lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby. It also has a good, well sized indoor pool. And the staff are generally polite and well meaning. But - I had multiple problems, from a broken coffee machine and noisy A/C to non WiFi in my room which took two complaints before it was fixed. I reported a broken light, it was still not fixed after 2 days. Not good enough for a business hotel. I asked to see the duty manager to explain my dissatisfaction and give the hotel a chance to make amends, but she refused to see me. They display signs about a service satisfaction promise etc, but in reality clearly it means nothing. Generally the hotel needs a revamp, many small maintenance issues not attended to. So in spite of the good location, I will not return.

Good hotel for business
Rooms are ample and comfortable as they have a small living room / work place with a separate bedroom. The hotel is located around few good eating restaurants and cafeterias, bathroom could use a remodelación job but for business is a great place for the price of room. Hotel has a nice tempered swimming pool and gym.

The rooms were ok, but non-smoking is more a concept with the room filling with smoke from neighbouring rooms in several occasions. Although the food in Sao Paulo was great, the restaurant is the worst I have tried in some time. Avoid at all costs. It has a good location and was clean

Mercury is ideal for a short trip like mine. The room is small but comfortable. Unfortunately, the air conditioner is a bit noisy and makes it hard to sleep.

The hotel is very beautiful. The room is great! I enjoyed the bed as much as shower. Very amusing room. However, I didn't like the breakfast. Due to small room, there was a huge line, waiting to be seated.

Comfortable, Peaceful and wonderful stay.
The location of the hotel is very peaceful. The neighborhood is good. The accomodation was wonderful. We visited sao paolo during the carnaval season and the bloco parade was just a few walk away. The room has space to attend some guest. Very spacious. The staff are muti lengual. I can switch from english to spanish and little portuguese in talking to them. Before checking out, we need to leave early for the flight to rio. We requested an early breakfast at 530am and it was granted. We appreciate the extra effort. Overall, i would recommend this hotel. Being in Brazil in the right location would help the trip be more memorable.

I booked a room without smoking. As soon as I walked into the room, it immediately smelled like cigarettes and I could not stand in the room longer than a minute. I went downstairs to talk to the host. They were confused and not so happy to change me room. After complainting, my room was changed and it smelled great and smoke free.

Simple and unassuming
The hotel is simple, clean, and unassuming. This is just what I was looking for. My only complaint is that the buffet breakfast was not as good as I've had in other Brazilian hotels. The eggs were perpetually runny, and the toaster and espresso machine broke at least twice during my stay (I was there for two weeks). On Sunday, they ran out of food and dishes at about 10AM so there was a horde of people waiting around for about 10-15 minutes. This is unacceptable for a hotel with this capacity. If they could improve the breakfast room, I'd be very happy. At any rate, I'll come back to this hotel. It was perfectly fine.

Hotel well located
Hotel is good. But be sure to get a good room. The first room we got was crap, dirty, ugly, old furniture, sofa with hole, very worm down, reading light didn’t work. After one night we changed rooms and there was a huge difference. We were happy in new room. Hotel has a serious problem with the AC on the rooms; they are as noisy as they can be. Like a car engine in your room. They make so much noise you can't sleep with AC on. Noise can be as high as 68 dB in the bathroom were the AC is located and 50 dB in the room. For summer travelers that can be a problem.

Terrible experience. At the checkin I was with my 16 years old daughter, and had to prove that she was my daughter. I presented her passport, her custody papers, and even my tax returns that shows her name on it and remationship to me, nevertheless, the manager had to be called and aprove the documents! Just outrageous!! After the aproval We went to our room and the light switch did not work, I looked for a phone in the livingroom and dis not find any. I entered the bedroom and with the help of a flashlight on my cell phone I found a normal type of phone , with no information of how to contact front desk. After taking a better look, I found a paper thta asked to call 2424 for help. I called and they asked me to turn a switch in the bedroom, which controls all the lightning . I could not find it, and they sent someone over. The person looked arkund and finally found the switch begind the mattress.... really???? The beds were two twin beds, how can anyone have a mice night on a hotel with a twin bed? I never heard about twin beds in hotels. I ordered a soup, and the soup came with no spoon, I called to ask for one, and instead of telling me that in the closet there was one, they made me wait for someone to bring it, then told me there was one in the closet. The shower knob had a cap that would fall all the time. Just a horrible experience!!!!!! I'll definitely never stay there again.

comfortable and quiet
The staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. The heated pool and gym were clean, good sized and well equipped. There was good eating and shopping in walking distance.

Very good hotel & staff - for a super price!
Stayed there for 8 nights. Found it a bit difficult since I don't know Portugese. All staff spoke Portugese at the first instance - so you need to always ask for someone who knew English. This was even harder in the restaurant since all staff knew only Portugese! Other that this, no complaints - they were all super polite and always smiling - so 10/10 for staff attitude!! Location was very convenient - Shopping districts of R. Oscar Freire and Paulista Ave are all close. Taxi stand located right outside the hotel entrance. So very convenient. One minor issue was the breakfast menu - it was more or less the same everyday. Would have been better if they could change it daily, like other hotels where I've been in. I didn't try out their swimming pool or gym facilities - so I really cant review them here.

Great hotel, in a safe area.
The hospitality of the staff was superb, they catered to my every need and went out of there way to help me anytime possible, I am on an English speak and the always had someone that spoke a little English around so that was very helpful.
