Not bad!
Pretty clean but slightly tired hostel. The reception staff were very helpful if you needed something. Not the most social of places but maybe that was just the vibe at the time! Nice location next to Forestal park and within walking distance to almost everything

Great location, great staff
Good location both for public transport and the lovely neighborhoods of Santiago. Good value, great staff. The social spaces are brillaint especially having a seperate quiet sofa area

Best way to end our trip!
This was our last 'stop' for our SA backpacking adventure, and was the best hostel we stayed in. At first look you might get put off by the graffiti (which is everywhere in Santiago), but this place is great inside. Booked the private twin room (for an amazing price), and arrived at a ridiculous time (6am). The lovely receptionist (whose name I sadly didn't get) checked us in quickly and let us have breakfast too! Our room was super clean (which was a welcome surprise after the other hostels we stayed at), spacious, had a powerful fan, beautifully decorated AND had a en-suite. We felt like we hit the jackpot! Breakfast was plentiful (the chocolate cereal is recommended), only thing I would recommend is to provide hot water and tea bags for us tea drinkers. Please give this place a chance- yes we could hear some protests from our window BUT still felt safe here. This hostel was also a short walk from the city centre/local markets. If we ever return to Santiago, we will definitely come back to this hostel. Thank you so much for allowing us to end our trip on a high (especially during the tricky times with travel bans). Also another massive thank you to the lady who checked us in- you are AMAZING and an asset to the hostel!

Decent location. Avoid if staying on Friday night.
Hotel was nice but we were there on Friday night so there were riots/protests outside until about 2:30 a.m. We stayed in a private room with private bathroom which was nice. Towels were provided. Breakfast was decent. The staff was very nice. They have games available and beverages to purchase along with nice clean shared common spaces.

Private room with ensuite. Do not stay!!!
Our room was not clean!!!! Don't stay here. Its been the worst place we have stayed in the whole of South America and we are not fussy travellers. We also had a private bathroom which was also dirty, so dirty in fact I did not even want to use it. We went for this hostel as it had high reviews but it definitely wasn't at a high standard. The breakfast that was included was also rubbish.

Very Social hostel with a lot of sponsored events. There were always people in the common areas. Rooms were clean and the location was close to tons of things...but the street was a little sketchy at night.

The staff af this hostel was nothing short of amazing. They helped make an incredible environment for the customers and were outstanding with customer service. Would highly recommend to anybody looking to meet friends along the journey and have a good atmosphere.

The staff as this Hostal was extremely helpful and the environment was perfect. They had everything you could need. The man at the front counter even printed my bus tickets for me so that I could get to Puerto Natales which I thought was awesome. I would recommend.

Great location, staff and the place to go if you want to party until the wee hours of the morning with staff in the communal area. Very noisy with no “quiet time” if you want to get some sleep.

Very nice hostel overall
Good location, good breakfast, nice room, solid wifi. Basic twin room only had 1 charging socket which was also quite diffcult to reach. Not a massive negative.

Solid Hostel in a good location
Good and clean hostel with great staff. Breakfast is very good. It's a bit more expensive than many other hostels in Santiago and I'm not so sure why other than maybe its location. It's facilities are not necessarily better than others. Overall, would recommend!

Friendly staff but overpriced
Whilst the staff were friendly I think the private room with ensuite was expensive for what it was. I ended up with a room right beside the front desk, which wasn’t the best set up for noise. I had to ask for toilet paper and towel, and my towel was not replaced on the second day of my stay. The bathroom was very cramped

The Staff was professional and friendly and the overall experience was pleasant. Bathrooms were small and showers were acceptable at best. However, Hostal Forestall is in the best location in Santiago. For the price, it is worth every peso

Cute hostel in a great neighborhood
Great little hostel in a very convenient neighborhood - very well situated and within short walking distance of Bellavista and subway station. Hostel staff was very helpful and breakfast was good (lots of fruit in addition to bread and cereal). Only major downside was that it was very very loud in the evenings and hard to sleep if you weren't planning on staying out til past midnight. But it's a hostel, so expect noise and bring earplugs.

We enjoyed our stay at hostel Forestal. And came back again for our 2nd visit to Santiago. The cleaning ladies were constantly cleaning and the breakfast was pretty good - there was fresh fruit! We would recommend this hostel
