very homely family hotel to which i found was looking out for the travellers best interest and to make sure that their holiday ran smoothly without their hotel letting you down

“Great Hotel in a Great location.”

This was my first visit to San Francisco & I was hoping that Grant Plaza would be in a good location. Grant Plaza is a great hotel in China Town. Friendly staff who made me feel very welcome. Great location with easy access to Downtown & public transport! I would definitely recommend the Grant Plaza.

“Good basic hotel”

This is a pretty basic hotel in a good location. It's just inside the chinatown, and the staff are helpful and efficient. I'd stay here again.

Hotel rooms are quite basic, but clean and tiny. The location of the hotel is ideal. The shops are a ten minute walk one way and Fishermans Whalf is a forty five minute walk the other.

“Decent Hotel, Great Location”

I stayed at this hotel as part of my trip across the US last month. It was decent. I wasn't expecting much as I knew the reviews weren't great, but I fairly impressed. The location was good, right in the middle of China town. There were plently of public transport around. The room was ok. There were a lot of marks on the walls. I had to laugh when I saw the leaflet for the Hotel which said recently renovated! The room was a decent size but I could hear the tv from people next door but it wasn't too bad. The bed was on the small size. The bathroom was good though. Nice power shower!

“good value for money”

Reasonable prices for good location (Chinatown), within walking distance to Financial District, Ferry Building, North Beach, BART/MUNI station. Room was a bit noisy though, I could hear all my neighbours phone calls at 5am.

“Would stay again”

perfect loaction, as others have said you pay for what you get, The staff were pleasant and helpfull when required, the room was small but clean, but it was noisy not with road traffic but with the heating system. Other than that I would stay again as it was such a good location, 5 mins from union square(go to 'sears' for breakfast)and on bus and cable car routes.

“good location, but a bit shabby”

This is a good, cheap place to stay in a good location (right at the entrance to china town) but is a bit on the shabby side, and the lift either tok a very long time or didn't work at all.
