“Fantastic Location for seeing Rome”

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights in a suite. 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Very clean, comfortable and warm. Had reservations about breakfast from other reviews but were pleasantly surprised.Yes there were cakes,doughnuts and pastries but there was also a choice of 2 cereals, bread, french toast, yoghurts, preserves and juices. Couldn't understand why other people had complained!! Staff very helpful with excellent English. Great location and easy to find everything we wanted. Ask for a room at the back of the hotel - really lovely and quiet. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. What a beautiful city. Enjoy !!

“A fantastic short break”

On arrival were upgraded from a double to a suite which was a nice suprise. Room was recently refurbished & extremely comfortable. Currently some building work going on in the hotel but only during the day when we were out so absolutely no distrubance whatsoever. Antiquated lift was a true touch of character not the terrifying death trap some reviewers seem to think! Breakfast was indeed as others have said a plethora of sweet pastries, yoghurt etc. Also, possibly the dodgiest coffee in the area! This didnt fuss us though - being blessed with a sweet tooth and only really interested in a quick bite to eat before leaving we were quite happy. Location wise this hotel is fantastic. We walked to the main historical sights in less than 15mins, and couldnt have got lost if we tried. The Termini overland train and metro station is literally round the corner for trips further afield.

“Lovely friendly hotel in a very central location”

This hotel is full of character and situated very centrally for all the sites and is surrounded by great places to eat. The room was large, recently and nicely decorated and very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a little cakey but that was a small price to pay. Great value, I'd definitely recommend it.

staff were very friendly and helpful. location was fabulous, both for minimal baggage carrying from the termini and for sightseeing. only disappointment was the lack of a kettle in my room, but only cos i had boil in pot porridge for the marathon. overall a great hotel for a no frills pit stop during sightseeing and marathon recovery!

“Very impressed”

Had a fantastic holiday. The hotel was in a fantastic location and we could walk to all the main attractions including Trevi Fountain, Colosseo and Vatican City. Breakfast was basic but everything you need including cereal, tea and coffee and a selection of croisants and bread. Reception staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Rooms had everything you need and very clean.

“Friendly and Ideally Located”

Welcome Home Residences is just two minutes from Termini towards the Colosseum. Reception staff were very friendly, they recommended restaurants and were more than willing to offer advise. Rooms are brilliant, very clean, nice comfy bed after the long days sightseeing. An electronic safe comes as standard in the room. Comments about noise I read by other people are ridiculous, it's located in a quieter side of the city and you'll get traffic noise in any hotel. The lift/elevator is the quietest one you'll ever hear too!

“Great location, price and service”

200 metres from the entrance to the train station (but more like 800m from the Leonardo Express platform) the hotel was had everything needed for a short break. The reception staff were tremendous and spent so much time giving us all of the key tips on how to enjoy our 5 days. Breakfast was Italian syle and fine for us, you are in Italy! The metro was 200 metres away and the open top tourist bus (a great way to start your visit) stopped outside the entrance to the hotel. Colosseum and most of the key attractions were with a nice 20 minute walk. We got the metro only when we visited the Vatican - but we walked back. This was the cheapest hotel by far that I could find and it couldn't have been better

“lovely hotel to stay in.”

i went to Rome for 4 days i so wanted somewhere cheap to stay just to sleep in. It was a great hotel the staff were very friendly and told us where was the best places to go and where they were. Our room was a double room with single beds and it was a good size room the bathroom was a good size too and the shower was amazing and powerful. The only downside to the room was our view we didn't really have one but as we didn't spend much time in there it didn't bother me too much also they were doing some renovation work at the time but it didn't bother us as they did the work while we was out so didn't hear much.The hotel is very close to everything walking distance to everything 30 minute walk to the Trevi fountain which is a must and same for the Spansih steps. for the breakfast its not the best but its okay theres coffee, tea,juices,cereals pastries and sweet thing.

“Bogdan”

We booked this hotel for the location, very conveniently located near Termini. The rooms are confortable and clean, and the bathroom was nicer than my bathroom at home. There were small issues with the internet and the minibar, but the quality of the service was impecable. In fact it was the best service I have ever received in a 4 star hotel. I don't want to go into details but they have done more than I would have expected in a tough situation where my wife got food poisoning from a "respectable" restaurant in Rome. I would definately book again a room in this hotel.

“Would stay there again”

Proximity to rail and bus stations was good for tourists like us, and reception staff very helpful at all times. Hotel room was basic and no tea or coffee making facilities. Get to breakfast early to get a table. Area around hotel was scuffy and we were awoken each morning (6am) by rubbish collections. Enjoyed being rocked to sleep by musicians playing at local resturants.
