Clean room but not a 4 star level! The hotel is actually splitter in 2 buildings: one tower with probably 4star-alike rooms, and a couple of motel-like buildings with parking and small rooms. The second is a 3star facility, to be generous. Breakfast is excellent and abundant. Primarily Italian-style, as could be expected.

This is a great property to stay in. We stayed the night before we had to depart from the Rome airport and will probably do so again in the future. The hotel is clean, the staff are helpful and the restaurant on-site is also great. Highly recommend.

AVOID - even if they pay me to stay, i will never again stay! Room significantly smaller than advertised. Air-conditioner will tske you 20-30 years back in the past, the machine managed to cojjjol the room from 27.6 C to 25.4 C in 18 hours that we stayed in the room. Non chalant attitude of the 2 techinicians who came to see the room about the failure to cool - said " uts like this in the entire hotel" After a lot of back and forth, the technician and reception team said we could see another room but the aircon will be no different. Good breakfast provided.

Simple hotel, expensive for what it is

Stayed here just for our last night due to proximity of the CIA airport, the hotel staff sorted a taxi but he did say the charge was 35 to 40 euros despite stating on the side of the car that it was 31. As breakfast was inc. and we had an early flight, i asked if we could have the breakfast to takeaway and the receptionist arranged this, a small bag to take away upon leaving. Went to use the pool but asked to get out as a swimming cap was required which i have not heard of anywhere before. Restaurant was expensive but staff were pleasant and accomodating. Hotel was nice with some wear and tear and the triple room was very small plus it cost us 7.50 each in tax for 1 night, when all other places have been 2.

Great Family Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Colombo! We didnt want to stay in central Rome but wanted a good public transport network and a pool to cool down in after long days, this was exactly what we got. The bus stop is the otherside of the road (underpass) its a 6 minute ride to EUR Fermi (Metro) then about 25 minutes to Colosseum. The staff were really helpful and always available. The breakfast is all you can eat, delicious and there was a great variety of food available which was always topped up as they opened breakfast from 6:30am - 10am. There is a very large shopping mall (Euroma2) literally round the corner which has a huge supermarket (Ipercoop) in. The pool is open between 10am-7pm which is great and a god send after a long and hot day walking round beautiful Rome. They offer free early bag drop off which was perfect as we had and early flight but couldn't check in until 3pm. Would definitely return if we came back to Rome as couldnt fault the place and location.

Breakfast: Overall good. Variety of items.Awesome live coffee counter. Poor management. Once empty, food were not topped up on time. Most of the times cheese and fresh fruit cloches were empty. Cleanliness: Super clean. Swimming pool: Quite a big one and maintained well. Rooms: Small rooms. Once we kept our baggage, there was hardly any space to walk. Cleaned regularly. Check in and Check out: Just two people in the counter. We waited for 30 mins for check in. Slow process. Our rooms were not ready on time. We were made to wait and had to again join the queue for check in. Surrounding: a big mall next door. Variety of options to dine. Bus stops in walkable distance Overall: I’m my opinion, calling this a 4* hotel is overrated.
