We loved everything about the Rain Forest Inn! Unique location, unique rooms, native breakfast and dinner was super delicious! And the friendliness and service was outstanding! We would go any time again
A wonderful experience staying at Rainforest Inn! The location is spectacular and we were so incredibly well looked after by all of the staff. Could not recommend more highly! Was hard to leave :)
For me, the experience staying here was worth so much more than the small cost per night. I stayed three nights and was able to tour Cameron highlands and spend time with the family working at the property. I took a hike through the jungle, cooked over a fire, and saw the local neighnoring village. I came here looking for a different experience than what the hotels had to offer, and what I found was a peaceful oasis of nature and traditional livelihood in a modernizing agricultural region. Hosts and staff were very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend. Thanks
This was such a great stay. It is off the beaten path and on the edges of the jungle. We had an authentic experience and our home for two nights was a bamboo hut complete with mosquito netting and sounds of nature. Meals were traditional meals and served in a communal atmosphere. We were able to meet other travelers, share stories and adventures. As an added bonus staff at the Rain Forest Inn arranged for a private jungle trek complete with a guide. This was such a fantastic experience. We were in the heart of the jungle and even discovered that some bamboo contain water that is potable! The jungle trek was difficult, but if you are in moderate shape it should be no problem. It was about 4 hours in trekking time (not including lunch and rest breaks). The first half of the hike is uphill, which makes the return quite nice!. if you are looking for an authentic experience, i recommend this place. They also show you how to shoot a blow gun and set traps!
I have been meaning to find a forested area to stay in Cameron Highlands, and Rainforest Inn fits just perfectly for my purpose for meditation. Undisturbed and Serene, the natural environment with water stream totally rejuvenates one's well being to connect and reconnect with the nature. One must for once a while, get away from the bustling city lives to get back in touch with Nature.
Absolutely unique and amazing experience staying in the rain forest. The place is run by the native people who offers an insight to their traditions and lifestyle - and amazing food! Do yourself a favor and take a night or two off the beaten track. We will definitely come back some day.
It's great overall. Surprisingly, my mom and dad who age 50-60++ love this place too. We were all enjoyed and surely will be back again. Love the native dinner, worth for money. They've prepared a lot and we couldn't finish it. We've received a lot of surprise that arranged by them, surprise breakfast (I didn't know we'll have it.), surprise learning lesson for blowpipe and native's animal traps. Wow!!! Love it so much. Gee Tatt is a very good story teller and he's really informative. Our journey in Cameron Highlands planned well due to his guidance too. We'll be back for the Rafflesia and Mossy Forest Tour for sure.
