very nice hotel. beautiful gardens. but,,, children in the bar,,, bed slanted - slept cross wise to keep from rolling out,,, AND 10:30am checkout! never heard of a 10:30am checkout. a bed and breakfast with 10:30am checkout. they would store your bags while you had breakfast. i would stay again but with lower expectations
The motel is not in the centre of town. To get to the centre it is about 5 - 10 minutes drive. Nothing particular interesting around except a shopping mall and some restaurants.
It is however a good stay if you have seen Christchurch or return to Christchurch waiting for a flight next day as the price is much cheaper.
It is a motel, not a hotel. Room was clean, stuff was nice. I still don't understand why we got a room on the top floor in the latest corner. We had lots of luggage we had to carry. When we were leaving I saw lots of empty rooms in the bottom floor.
Good enough if you staying for one night but still overpriced for a motel.
