"This is such a gem. The cost is so low that it is misleading. Quaint, clean and friendly staff. Area is real local and everyone was super friendly. Felt safe and welcomed. "My husband and I just spent 3 nights at Playa Maya. We got to the hotel a little late, but was greeted by Marvin (I believe he's night time security) who helped us to our room. The hotel doesn't have a street entrance so you must walk through the beach, which was fine, we're at the beach anyway! They provide fresh water for the rooms and ours was cleaned nicely everyday. We have nothing but good things to say about this property. Our favorite person was Marvin. He carried great conversations...
