"I travel to Portland frequently for work and have been systematically trying hotels in downtown Portland. Hotel Heathman is my favorite so far! The building is beautiful & convenient to the office I visit as well as numerous restaurants & shops. My room was comfortable & clean. I was disappointed that I didn’t receive daily housekeeping though— I would expect that from a hotel of this caliber. I typically keep my room neat, & I’m fine using towels for multiple days, but I used the French press for coffee & was unsure how to dispose of the grounds for use the next day. Plus, I ordered room service for breakfast one morning & no one ever picked up the tray. These issues are not deal breakers weighed in the balance of my overall good experience, though. I will stay there again."

"I love staying here. The rooms are always so clean and the beds are super comfy. Best part is check out is at noon! Most places are at 11am so the extra hour really helps. Breakfast is good and lots of variety, however I would get there early as the breakfast room gets crowded and food starts to dwindle the later you wait to go. 24 hour pool and exercise room is a plus, but there is only one elevator and it’s slow so you may be waiting longer than you’d like in that aspect. I don’t mind the stairs, but when you’re on the fourth floor at 5 flights of stairs it’s a little daunting! At night time the area around the hotel is a little iffy. There’s a lot of activity and shady people lingering about. I wouldn’t go outside alone in that area at night, but as they say “Nothing good happens after midnight” so I don’t really need to be going outside of the hotel at that time. Despite that, all in all this hotel is excellent."

"This will be the second time I have stayed at the MS. I enjoy the property very much. Complimentary wine happy hour, and the Fitness center is adequate. The rooms are spacious and the history of the hotel, makes it a must stay for me when I come to Portland. "

"There was renovation going on. so of course that cant be helped so ...otherwise this is a great property, close to airport and the price was very good...perhaps discounted for the renovation inconvenience. should be an eve better property after the remodel "
