There had clearly been some sort of prior "incident" in the room I stayed in. Unfortunately, I got in late and didn't notice most of the issues until I had stayed in the room overnight. It appeared that the chain lock had been forcibly removed from the door. It had been replaced and puttied, but not painted over. There was damage to the two bathroom doors that appeared to have been related to the damage to the chain lock. There was a huge red stain on the floor by the head of the bed. It appeared to be a blood stain that was poorly cleaned. There also appeared to be blood spatter on the ceiling. I have pictures as proof.
I understand that incidents happen in hotel rooms. However, it is incumbent upon the management to ensure the room is properly cleaned and restored so that subsequent guests are not aware of prior incidents.
The refrigerator was also filthy.
I would have rated this hotel lower, but the bed was fairly comfortable and the staff was pleasant.
