nice room but ..reception can be better
the first reception hostess was rude and we ask her to repeat every single sentence she said (even ask to switch to english and she refused). the second one was super friendly and nice. the water came out yellow in the bathtube. it looks like they changed the pipes recently but no one warned us. we rang on departure but no hostess came after 10ish minutes.

Great place to stay
we were moved as I requested a quiet room with no comment or problem. The room was small but comfortable. Excellent location in an interesting area. The deal I had secured meant that I was spared the scary prices on the screen at arrival!

Room was smaller than we thought fornthe price we had paid. The mini fridge wasnt cleaned and had no water in it. I stayed for 3 nights and the water wasnt restocked. We had used 2 glasses on the firat nught which had just been left there for the duration of our stay. And on our last night, when we came home around midnight, i saw the door had been left ooen by the pwrson who cleans the room. 2 lughts didnt work

31^C and A/C not working. Like sleeping in an oven. Very unimpressed. Offered another room. Same issue. Staff advised the A/C was down (so why offer us alternative room). Full refund would have been appreciated. Breakfast also disgusting. Scrambled eggs were like rubber. Limited choice. On a positive note. Place looked lovely and staff were great. But really, if A/C is down and weather is above 30^C - shut down.

For air conditioning, our operating system is general for the entire hotel. Having average temperatures before the weekend in high heat, the air conditioning was not yet in use it takes 48 hours. And in Paris the temperatures change very quickly. For breakfast, we try to have the best products, I'm sorry if it was not your taste. Thanks again for sharing, we take notes of your remarks. We love the neighborhood and the hotel's proximity to the best farmers market in Paris. There were wonderful restaurants and cafes within a block of the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Decent enough but definately not a 4 star
Some hotel staff were nicer and more helpful than others, but some information about the area etc would've been useful rather than just handing us the key when checking in. I wouldn't say the hotel is 4 star. While it is comfortable enough, its a bit drab. The cleaning of the room was substandard, dirty pillowcase left on bed, toilet roll left on floor, bin not changed etc which was probably the worst thing about the room. the lights are also pretty bad seeing as there is no overall "main light". Area is good with lots nearby.

Doors don't lock, but clean
Pros: - Bed and room was clean (but don't look under bed) - Bathroom is mostly clean (minor mold in the corners) - Room size was ok - Bed was pretty comfy (not too hard and not too soft) - Location is close to metros, restaurants and a stop on the yellow line of the L'open hop on hop off tour (but far from the tourist attractions (not within walking distance) Cons: - Toilet is in a separate room, typical European style, but door opens into toilet, so you have to stand on toilet to open/close the door - Window is full height like a door did not lock (but not so bad since we were on 3rd floor and there was a barricade window shade that can be used too, but then you have no sunlight) and door to hotel room did not consistently lock, hotel room was changed after their staff left room unlocked one day - amenities were not refreshed until second to last day (which was annoying)

I'll never spend 350 euros on a secure again
350 euros for one night last Thursday 20th , the most I've ever paid for a bog standard hotel. Paris was hugely expensive last week. Hotel itself was "ok", let down by two people arguing at base of hotel at 02:30 am which lasted 30 minutes and woke the entire hotel up.

The hotel is located in a nice location. My big problem with the hotel was the a/c. The a/c was barely blowing any air and there was no fan to circulate the air. So my stay was a little uncomfortable. I was only there for 2 nights

Decent good value hotel in a central location
A decent hotel managed by friendly efficient staff in a good location. The only "downer" is that the thermostat inside guest rooms cannot be set to go lower than 19 Celsius which makes the room a little uncomfortable. Other than that all was good.

The lady running the desk was so sweet. The room was so little and perfect for a single or couple planning to be out most of the day. Outlets on both sides of bed and real hair dryer! Breakfast great and lobby so instagrammable. Easy walk to Marais district, one of my faves.

Central Location
We arrived very early and the hotel kindly held our bags until later in the afternoon. We were given a corner room with a terrace which was lovely, though it overlooks offices. The room itself was an odd shape and the bath/shower, sink and toilet in 3 separate rooms. There was a double bed and single bed, I got the single bed which was a rollaway though incredibly comfortable. The toilet broke and wouldn't fill so we had to fiddle with it every time we used it. We never received our complimentary water but the Wi-Fi was excellent. The location is so central with the metro less than 3 mins walk. I would definately stay here again.

1st time in Paris
Really happy with my stay here. Room looked exactly like the pictures and the bathroom was very spacious with a tub. My room overlooked the street and was only .5 mi away at most from any metro stop I needed!

Friendly staff, rooms a little tired
We found the staff here to be very friendly and helpful. This is a small hotel, in a good location, close to Bastille. 10 mins walk to Gare de Lyon and about 30 mins walk to Notre Dame. A selection of metro stations are nearby, so you can easily be in central Paris within 40 mins. There are some good bistros and several very good patisseries nearby. There was also a food market just outside the hotel most days. The rooms themselves are tired. The bathroom had a good shower and a bath, but the walls had peeling paint and the towels weren't the best quality. The fan didn't appear to work which made the bathroom damp. There was some building work outside the hotel from 8am. Overall I would probably stay here again, depending on the price and the reason for visiting Paris. We paid around 100 Euro per night, and I'd expect slightly more for that price.

It was ok....
The hotel is in a great location especially for young couples or groups of people wanting to have nights out as it is a walk away from Bastille which has a back street of pubs and clubs. The hotel was basic but clean. Bed was made everyday and room tidied too. It says it has a bar, it doesn't. It has bottles of wine and beer etc just sitting out next to reception and the reception pour it for you I think? We were disappointed in this so never used it. One of the main reasons we booked the hotel was the roof top bar, we always like to sit out at night and have a drink to unwind. The 4 nights we stayed the roof top bar was closed as the reception man said 'it might rain'. Online it also states that it has English tv channels, it did not. Also quite a noisey area, building works going on beside the hotel woke us up early mornings but that is not long term. The location was the best thing! It's literally a 2minute walk to the underground!! You pass restaurants and bars and there's a market on every day the street opposite and also bakers too! Plenty of choice. Just a side note for anyone who hasn't been to Paris before - we got stopped in the underground by ticket police and they charged us 35euros each because we had not signed and dated our 5 day ticket we had bought. No one ever told us to do this, and the stop you randomly. Just a heads up!!!

This is a great little hotel in a convenient and fun location. The Bastille-Saint Antoine area has heaps going on and its within easy walk to most things. There's also a bike hire stand right near the hotel for those for whom walking is a chore!

Very nicely appointed hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and comfortable bed, separate toilet and bathroom. Close to the metro and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

Decent Hotel
I was only at this hotel for one night because I got to Paris a day earlier than expected. I got there late, and didn't adventure around the neighborhood much. I was alone and I went to look for food but everything was closed when I was out, probably around 10 pm. I was really thrown off by this hotel at first because the lights on each floor were emotion activated. I considered ordering room service but they charged 5 euro for orders after a certain time, 10 p.m. I believe, and the menu was pricey to begin with. The rooftop deck would have been nice in the morning, but wasn't usable in the evening, I couldn't even find a light. They did have some TV channels in English though, which was nice because it was a little too late to explore the city. Bathrooms were very pretty and clean.

Lovely hotel very close to the Metro
Beautiful room to stay in and enjoy our time in Paris. Walking distance to Notre Dame or very close to the Metro to access all of the main attractions. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

Great position great staff
The hotel was so close to lots of shops and cafes and very easy to get to. It was close enough to the Gare de Lyon to walk even with luggage. The staff made us feel at home, booked us into a super restaurant close by and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. We would stay here again

The foyer is small but nice enough. The corridors are papered in dark brown wallpaper which makes them very dim and unwelcoming. A strong musty smell pervades the corridors, despite a lot of air freshener that is actually cloying and unpleasant. Our room was a good size, by Parisian standards, but had an odd configuration. The toilet was set off the entry while the bathroom led off the bedroom. This meant walking through the bedroom to wash ones hands because there was no basin in the toilet. The bed was comfortable. We got little sleep because the noise from outside was very loud, despite the roller shutters. We stayed 2 nights but would have moved to a different hotel because of the noise if we were staying longer.

great hotel close to Gare de Lyon
This hotel is a great option if you want to stay close to the Gare de Lyon. I personally don't love the neighborhood but it was convenient for me for one night and in transit as I was traveling to the south of France. It's super close to the Gare de Lyon (about 10min walk) and to a metro stop. Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful, and let us check in earlier than we were suppose to. Bed was SUPER comfortable; great shower and spotless clean room. Highly recommend it!

We spent 7 nights in paris. We enjoyed our stay at Mecure Bastille. Excellent location.
