Excellent choice overall for staying in the Bastille area. Walking distance to metros, endless number of cafes, bistros, restaurants, and to the Marais area. Ladies at the front desk are particularly pleasant and helpful in many ways, including securing taxis, dinner reservations, and tickets to certain museums. Room rates very gentle, also.

Lovely hotel on a quiet street about 5/10 mins walk to the metro. Only about 20-30 mins walk from Le Marais and Norte Dame area. Our room was quite big and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely come back and stay again.

Small but well appointed room and bath. Enough outlets and lights, comfy bed and pillows, nice bathrobes and slippers, big towels. Good Breakfast. Close to Republique an Marais.

Excellent hotel overall!! We stayed for 8 nights (October 2023) in one of their standard-ecolo rooms. The street where the hotel is was very quiet and we never heard our neighbours. Super clean and full of nice details, such as filtered water fountain, the robes and slippers, the tea and coffee tray replenished daily. Everything was in perfect working order and the attention by the friendly, English-speaking staff was top notch. Location is excellent, with two subway stations within walking distance or a 20 min. Walk to Notre Dame, for example. We definitely would recommend staying there when in Paris.

Was in very good proximity to Gare dé' Lyon which is handy but also Bastille which is a fun area. Hotel was sharp and clean with very nice staff. Great value in comparison to some others I have stayed at

I enjoyed a stay at Le Marceau Bastille in 2018, and was thrilled to return in April 2023. A friend and I stayed here for 8 delightful nights while seeing the sites of Paris. The hotel is on a quiet side street but only a hop away from the Seine and Le Place Bastille metro stop. Each day we walked or took the metro to different parts of the city. The hotel was spotless, staff friendly and the breakfast was out of this world, well worth the extra fee. Our room quickly came to feel like home, I hope to return again.

We were given a warm, friendly reception for a single night stay and the service and the room were impeccable. The room was small but the bathroom was separate and had a bath. Lovely towels, good toiletries and a very comfortable bed - all we could need was provided. Hope to stay again!

Great Location Near Gare Lyon We stayed at this hotel for one night on our return to Paris before our flight back to the US. Its proximity to the Gare Lyon train station was a huge help. When we arrived at the station at 11:30 p.m., the taxi line was around the block and would have taken at least an hour. Fortunately, the hotel, which is located on a quiet street, was close by. The rooms and bathroom were clean, and beds were very comfortable. The excellent breakfast, included with the room, was a pleasant surprise. As others have noted, the front desk staff were extremely hospitable and helpful. The hotel’s excellent location allowed us to walk around the Bastille area and go to the Marais (a 20 minute walk) before leaving for the airport the next morning. All in all, a very good find!

When I first checked in the room was tiny but clean with a street view but the AC was "Off for the season" and it was unseasonably warm and I was stifling so they moved me to a much larger courtyard view room that was perfect.

Overrated but good location
Overheated room on top floor. Aircon set to heat only. Very noisy with windows open. The fundamental of a hotel is to give a good night’s sleep. This hotel failed. Peeling paintwork and broken fittings didn’t help

Great hotel on a quiet side street between Bastille and Gare de Lyon, both around 10 minutes walk away. Had a friendly welcome from the receptionist, and the room was clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed.

Very pleasant
The hotel is a little bit out of the city centre but it’s easy to walk in. The area seemed ok, right next to a marina that was pleasant to walk next to. I have to say, the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, from the reception staff to the cleaner to the restaurant they were all excellent. I would also say it’s worth the upgrade to the slightly larger room.

Bad experience
They took my passport at check in, but they couldn’t find it when we checked out. I had to go to the American Embassy to get an emergency passport to get home! Very bad experience.

No Interest in Locating My Passport
They took my passport when we checked in, but couldn’t find it when we left. I had to go to the American Embassy in Paris to get an emergency passport so I could return to the USA. Not happy about that!

We (husband and wife) stayed 6 nights. The room is on the small size but very well laid out with modern furnishings so we could fully unpack and stow the luggage. Window opens fully to allow lots of fresh air. The street is very quiet but still in the heart of the Bastille. Lots of great restaurants around. Fabulous vietnamese place directly across the street. Staff very friendly. Overall excellent and would stay again.
