Lovely quiet hotel
Located in a rather quiet neighbourhood with good transport links into the main attractions. Our room was fresh and clean the room was very recently renovated. Bed was comfortable and had amazing nights rest.

No hot water the day of my check out, very disappointed. The room was cold couldn’t get any warmer. No electrical outlet near the bed. And we could hear other clients in their room. There is no privacy.

this client came without booking late t by a serious hotel mapping in expedia system , the staff allow her , sit in the loby to solve the issue she was facing with expedia assistance , once expedia came to find her a solution decide to book her a room in our property AS she was tired and confused she was given a ompletly renovated rooms N65 , Now we are realy dispointed with this kind of review especialy when we know that the trouble she live was not by our fault , and we provide her all the necessary assistance ....this kind of review is not acceptable and very dispointing..Riviera Staff

Basic but cheap- you get what you pay for.
We stayed here when we were in Paris to watch the rugby World Cup. Hotel is very much what you pay for, basic however cheap. Good location next to lots of cafes and transport links- a fair distance from any main tourist attractions. The hotels perfect if you’re planning to be out and day/night and only need somewhere to sleep. The rooms are small and views are poor however staff friendly and cleaned every morning.

The property has been renovated, the friendly staff, the room is simple and clean, and the bed was good, with a hard mattress. Love that the windows open to a little patio!

Good hotel, bring your own fan
For the money it was a good hotel, it’s 5 mins from the subway and then 30 mins with one swap to get to the tower, 10 minute walk away from gard du nord. In august thou there is little breeze getting into the room and no fan provided so imo it’s essential to bring one or you’ll never get to sleep form the heat

Location great but room required deep clean - dirty dishes hidden inside the wardrobe, hair everywhere - beds and floor, old door stuck at first we could not get in then could not leave (just need a bit of planing), new shower head and a shower curtain required. Price would have been fair if everything was at least clean. Reception 5 stars rooms unrated

anyone who reads this...do not...do not stay at this hotel. the rooms look nothing like the pictures at all. light switch did not work, when I called front desk the person at the front desk said he did not speak English and did not understand what I was saying, however when I checked in he understood enough English to check me in and explain fees I was being charged. I booked a 3 bed room, they gave me a 1 bed and 2 foldable beds which I had to put together myself. no air conditioning. no mini fridge. but the worst is the floor was dirty and there were exposed rotten floorboards. bugs were coming out of the sink. the bath tub had no support bars, so I had to help my children get in and out of the tub because there was nothing to hold on to. the elevator is so small that only one person and one luggage could go at a time. I felt very unsafe sending my kids one at time before me. we even got bed bug bites....my kids and I stayed that one night because it was so late and we don't know the city to be outside looking for another place.....but the next morning I checked out and when the front desk clerk asked if I was staying the 3 nights and I said "no way" he told me to leave in a very rude manner and refused to give me a receipt for my one night stay....do not stay at this place for any reason......I am very disappointed EXPEDIA has this available on their site.....way below any standards.....

Why there’s no fridge in the room?

For a spring mattress the bed was surprisingly comfortable, nights were quiet. Close to metro so getting around was easy.

A replacement for a reservation gone wrong, so it was last resort. Having experienced it, it will stay as a last resort. Only good word was that the sheets and towels were clean.

The first night the guy at the front desk was very rude. We had 1 blanket in our room, for 3 people. When we asked the gentleman at the front desk for 2 more blankets, we were given sheets. 2 of the beds, that were pushed together, sank in the middle and were very uncomfortable. The heater did not work. There were missing tiles on the bathtub and no shower curtain. Every day after 3 showers the floor would be soaked. We asked for more towels, to clean up the water, but never received them. The elevator is only big enough for 2 people with luggage and is extremely slow. We walked 5 flights of stairs each day. The breakfast, that we paid additional money for, consisted of bread, 2 types of cereal, yogurt and applesauce. On a good note, the day staff was very helpful with calling taxi's for us and with giving directions. There is a super cute and quaint coffee shop on the corner about 20 steps away. The metro is very close to the hotel.

Was very run down for the price. we asked to change rooms as ours was very rough, which the attendant agreed to, we ended with an ok room with a nice view, the place is in need of tlc but is in a good spot. One of the attendants was an absolute clown.

It was a close walk to the local cafes and other touristy things but the rooms itself had no AC - the rooms were so small - and it was just my husband and I. We were turned off by the rooms bc when it was blasting hot , there was no fan or AC. They only had AC in the lobby. We asked for a fan but they never followed up

there are many things to say about the hotel do not change the sheets, do not clean the room, the furniture is very old, there is no refrigerator in the room, dust in the furniture, the maid comes only to arrange the bed but does not change the sheets or to clean the dust, the pool at the toilet in the bathroom has a defect no longer has a button to press on to pull water ... etc .....

Very bad really expensive the photos on your ads very misleading 200 euros for 2 nights from hard worked money smell of pesticide in room no ac and dirty hotel why you are doing so unfair things to people like me this is not first time last time in Lisbon the return shuttle to airport nrver showed up and I paid for taxi to go to airport and no refund done sorry for your unfair behavior in business and sorry for myself pls do return the extra charges for services overcharged or higher than normal rate

WORST HOTEL WEVE BEEN TO
My and my husbands experience was absolutely horrible. The wallpaper was peeling in the room, there were bugs in the shower and bathroom floor, the light exploded in the bathroom and sparks flew everywhere cutting out the power to the whole room. The staff tried to blame us but then they luckily moved us to another room, which wasn’t any better.

I would like to have my refund for my stay. When I first got there there was a rude receptionist, who did not even say hi or bye not even thank you. You have nails on the floor in the room I steeped with my bare foot on the nail and got injured. This is a serious problem. It was late and I was not comfortable talking to the rude receptionist. All the night there is a noise coming from the window where the outside curtain in not attached properly and bumping in the window. To add to that there was only one towel in the bathroom. I only stayed there because it was late and I cannot walk around that area at night and try to find a new hotel. The room was not clean there were white marks on the bed frame and I do not want even to imagine what is that. The shower door keeps moving so it bumps into you. Your elevator is very old dirty and not working properly. I could not use the stairs because there was celling falling down and renovations were made. The next day I was about to drink some water and brush my teeth and you had a brown water coming out of the tap. This is not ok at all. I could of gotten a water poisoning. I explained this to the hotels.com where I reserved my booking and they called you. I think the least you can do is to give me my money back for the horrible stay that I had. This is what I sent and they dont even bother to respond

A bit disappointed.
We were a little disappointed with our stay at Hotel Riveira. Online the images made the hotel look nice and comfortable but when we arrived we were met by hotel 'renovations'. The stairwell was covered in plastic sheeting, the corridors had no lights so we were left in darkness trying to find our room at night, there was a mattress in the hallway and numerous children's prams. The acoustics in the rooms weren't good either - we had the discomfort hearing an ill guest next door who couching all evening, which was incredibly unpleasant and effected our sleep drastically. On a positive note, the hotel staff were very friendly and thankfully moved us to a separate room on our second evening which was far more comfortable. We understand that renovations and maintenance may need to be done, however it would have been best if the Hotel specified that before we booked so we could have been more open minded.

Worst hotel experience
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in by far. None of the hotel pictures are true representations of what the rooms look like, It was super cramped, and the condition of the rooms are quite bad with serious wear & tear. Me and you partner had to change rooms because of the horrendous smell coming from the bathroom, but the new room also smelt as bad. What they called breakfast was a few stale mini croissants, some slices of the local corner shop sponge cake, and orange juice (probably from the same off licence too). Honestly, I couldn’t wait to leave (it was that unbearable), and if I had enough money I would of changed hotel in a heartbeat.

Horrible Hotel
This hotel was absolutely HORRIBLE! I went to Paris for my birthday which was suppose to be our last stop after 3 weeks in Europe. This hotel was just horrible the room was so small we barley had place to put our luggage also the elevator was literally in our room you can hear every time it went up and down the hallway had no lights, the shower had no plane to hang the shower head so you literally have to hold it with one hand and shower with the next while the water gets all over the bathroom. We requested one double bed and we were given 2 twin bed all night my fiancé and I were getting stuck between the mattress we end up staying one night and booked an airb&b for the rest of the stay thank god I did I asked for a refund and they refused to issue a refund also the women that works there is very nasty. NEVER AGAIN !!!!

If you are a non-smoker and maybe despise the smell of smoke or have asthma then I would advise against staying here. To be honest, I don't even know if we stayed in a smoking or non-smoking room because the whole hotel smelt like cigarette smoke. We had to leave the window open which sucked because the room became really cold. The bathroom..when the extractor fan in the building somewhere switched itself off, there was a smell that permeated the air which could only be described as rotting cabbage. There was no switch or anything to turn back on the fan so I'm guessing it's operated by hotel staff. There were a number a hairs stuck on the walls, one of the complimentary tubes of shampoo was half empty, one of the towels had something on it like the maid must have had an itch inside her ear and decided to use the towel and the size of the shower... well standing completely still would be fine, move and you're at risk of the glass doors falling off. It was that tiny. Peeling wallpaper, nail varnish on the wall, a completely broken lamp and no English speaking TV channels.. the hotel is ok for an overnight stay and if you're not planning on staying long inside the hotel, anything longer, not recommended.

Cheap Hotel in Paris
Not the best hotel I've been to, staff was quite rude. Rooms looked nothing like the pictures. Lift was broke the whole time we were there. Certain staff members were extremely rude.

Horrible!!! The staff are very rude. No smiles n no helpful nature at all. The lift doesn't work, when asked why, they replied that they don't know n dat v shud ask d management via call or e-mail. We were given 4th floor room with d lift not working. Please take out this hotel from your list.

The hotel is good for its price but the lift is always out of service and the hotel front office operates it when you arrive and on departure when you insist that he will carry your baggage.

the worst hotel I ever stayed in .....the bathroom was smelly....the cleaning staff faught early morning in the corridors and the best was no working lift....we had to climb to the sixth floor every day .....unfortunately was booked for 5 days and they couldn't get the lift repaired ....what a nightmare
