If you're looking for an affordable place to sleep in walking distance of major attractions like the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre, then Hotel Malar is perfect! If you intend to spend time in your hotel room beyond sleeping, then it's probably not for you. The rooms are small and the building is on the older side, but the bed was comfortable. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. It's not for everyone, but it's a great deal if you intend to spend most of your time out and about.

Great location! Terrible hotel. On the 4th floor of a very windy staircase. Tiny room and shower so small it wasn’t really usable. Left early and changed hotels.

Did not expect small circular walk up to bedrooms, in our case three flights. Staff helped bring up and down our suitcase, thankfully. The room is very very small, we could not share and had to fork out for a second bedroom. The shower is extremely small, we had a laugh each time. But you pay for that and so value for money was probably spot on. It did not take away from the overall experience.
