I believe holidays and relaxation start from the hotel, when travelling to Paris not many people chill in the hotel, usually everyone exploring the city, but hotel is still a crucial part of holidays, so if y9u are going to paris and looking for something not crazy expensive, quiet, clean and conveniently located then this is your place to go. The reception people are extremely nice, they are on the top of the news, can make in English not only small chit chat, but discuss for example whats happening in Australia.. news, where to eat, what to eat and it wont be only about paris, they can siggest what to eat in Lyon and in Barcelona. We had a great time. Hotel is clean and yes rooms are small but thats all you need in paris: convenient location, clean facilities, nice service, clean bathroom and shower and comfortable beds to sleep. Thankyou and def next time when we are back to Paris, we pick you again. See you soon

Even though the location of the hotel is in the centre of Paris and in the Opera area, the staff was not friendly and we had every day to request providing adequate minibar beverages, not a single hour late checkout even thought I had just a medical operation and my stay in the room for extra hour would have helped me to relax before taking a long flight back home. I considered the staff behaviour for medical condition unhuman and unprofessional for someone who booked a deluxe superior room. It was a unpleasant and bad experience.

This was the perfect location for our 6 night stay in Paris! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and it is convenient to so many places - whether you want to walk or take the Metro. Several excellent restaurants are nearby and some even in the same block. Even better, I left a gold necklace in the room safe and, after notifying the hotel a couple of days after departure when this was discovered, they did have the necklace and were kind and honest enough to let me know and ship it back to me in the US. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a comfortable room, central location, and excellent customer service.

The location is fantastic, but the room smells like drainage, good thing I always pack my room deodorizer. It starter smelling a little decent until the third day. I don't understand something so simple to use a room deodorizer, why dint tjey do it. I am happy with housekeeping they always went out of their way to have the room very clean daily and the receptionist at the front desk have always been very polite

Awesome 4 nights stay
Amazing location. Near to Metro and RER. Galeries Lafayette located a few steps away. Many eating joints nearby plus a minimart. Hotel staff is friendly and amazing. Provide daily drinking bottle to room guests. Will visit again definitely!

This is our second time staying at this hotel because of the highly convenient location and the traditional French balconies. The towels and sheets are clean but ain’t perfect. Room isn’t soundproof as expected. We honestly wouldn’t mind returning to this hotel though.

The location is very convenient for taking metro and shopping. A grocery store is at next door; the bakery and crepes restaurant cross street are very good. We will definitely stay here when we back Paris next time.

A well located hotel in the middle of a key shopping district, it was easy to get to transport and other well know places in Paris with minimal effort. The hotel is older but has spacious and clean rooms that were very comfortable. Will definitely consider staying here again next time I visit Paris.

Very close to all the main attractions in Paris either by walking or metro. Shopping is just a couple of blocks away with Gallery Lafayette Haussmann and Printemps. Lost of cafes and restaurants.

Stayed for 3 days and just loved it. Location is fantastic, in a beautiful neighborhood, with many options for dinning and grocery. Subway to all landmakrs is pretty close. Staff was oustanding, always willing to help. I would definetly stay there again.

I stayed a week at this hotel in my first trip to Paris and I was very pleased. The room was small( which all Paris hotels are), but it was excellent in terms of cleanliness, friendliness of the staff and its convenience to shopping, food and easy access to the metro to get to places like the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triompe, etc. It was also a convenient metro walk to the RER train to get to Disneyland. It’s walking distance from the Opera and major stores such as Galleries Lafayette!! I absolutely loved my stay and have saved it to book again when I go back in the spring. It was also only a 30 minute ride ( without traffic) to CDG airport. The staff were wonderful in providing directions as to which metro to take to get to sites. Loved my stay❤️

Beautiful hotel - loved it! We had the best room on the top floor with 3 balconies! We were very grateful. Clean spacious room with a good size bathroom. (Only complaint is the very old hairdryer! It needs to be replaced.) Friendly and helpful staff. Great neighborhood in a quieter and safe part of Paris. We (women) felt very safe walking around at night. Two thumbs up!!

Excellent hotel in an excellent location!
Hotel Excelsior Opera was an excellent hotel for our family. The reception team are fantastic, friendly and very helpful! The rooms are huge and provide free daily bottles of water, coffee and tea. The room was very clean and bed was so comfortable. The room had and opening door onto a little balcony which was really cute. The location of the hotel was fantastic, so close to the Metro, train station and lots of great shops. Also if you want a great meal, go to The Family restaurant close to the hotel, it’s great! Thanks for a really enjoyable stay!!
