The hotel has an ant infestation which the staff knew about but failed to report to people staying there. We got back one evening and found ants all over our room, our bed, all over our belongings, EVERYWHERE. My husband went to inform the front desk to which their response was to simply sweep them up, when we told him that wasn’t good enough because they were in our bed and on our stuff he said they weren’t and that we were wrong. We even showed him where they were to which he blatantly ignored and said we were being silly. We said we refused to stay in an ant infested room and he said the hotel was fully booked so he would go speak to the manager and be back in 5 minutes with his boss. 20 minutes later we went downstairs to find him laughing on the phone about the situation with his manager. He then proceeded to give us an ant bait and call it good as if that would solve the issue. We switched hotels that evening and had to pay an extra 500 euro for the inconvenience of switching hotels at such late notice. They were simply rude, did not help us in anyway whatsoever, not even to find us new accommodation as we don’t know the city, they were arrogant and seemed to remain oblivious to the fact that their hotel is INFESTED with ants, it’s disgusting. We went to a holiday inn to see if they have any rooms and they told us that 3 other couples had already left the residence because of the same issue. Do not go here, I’m amazed it hasn’t been shut down.
