The receptionist who checked us in was exceptional. So friendly, so knowledgeable and welcoming. The room itself was lovely although outdated. If you looking for a spot to kip for a couple of nights, this does the job.

The staff is very kind and attentive. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is excellent. Rating 4 stars due to the size of the shower that can barely accommodate an average sized adult - I’m 5’6”, 185 lbs, and could not turn around without bumping the knobs and shutting off the shower.

The area is a bit out of the tourist area but there is a very close Metro stop so it is still convenient to get around the city.

Hom away From Home
Most people wouldn't apprecite this hotel but I do for a number reasons. Th service is outstanding. While there is no air conditioning (open the windows and smell and feel Parisian air!) and it is small, it has French charm. The nieghborhood is safe and familiar. And while I can stay almsot anywhere in Paris, I keep coming back here.

Booked twin room, got 1 bed
Booked a twin room specifying 2 seperate beds. Upon check-in, we find a double bed. The hotel man on desk told us this was the only room left. He was polite and apologetic but this still leaves the problem. Very poor communication in this regard. This is unfair to hotels that offer a double room for less but were honest enough to list it as a double (not as a twin like this place does). Careless at best, fraudulent at worst. Clenliness of the room was only just acceptable. Bathroom was grungy and had lots of mold in vent. TV was broken. For over £100/night, I would have expected better. At least the location is good.

Home away from home
I love this hotel but it isn't for everyone. There is no air conditioning and it is small. But that's what I like about it. I can open the windows and breathe the Parisian air winter summer or fall whenever I choose to stay there. And the neighborhood supports my interests.

The property is perfectly located at the end of charonne street just facing the metro station. Although the interiors are old and not modern, the rooms are spacious and include all what someone needs for a comfortable stay.

Great Stay!
Our stay was great! The bathroom was a bit smaller than expected and there was no air conditioning, but for the price we received excellent service, a nice breakfast, and pleasant accomodations.

Located half a block from the subway that takes you everywhere in Paris. Nice staff. The room had two bathrooms and we were three people so it was a plus!

I would stay here again. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lively neighborhood with markets, cafes, laundromat and pharmacies nearby. Metro stop 1/2 block away. Didn’t have any problems with hotel or neighborhood.

Good location with very close to Metro train station, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good. Will rate excellent for front desk and breakfast service staff and hotel location. We met with Europe heatwave during our visit. Will be great if there was AC or cooler and cold water dispenser or a refrigerator in room or ice making machine in the hotel. But we managed well with the fan provided by hotel and keeping our window open at night... and requesting front desk staff to store our water bottles in breakfast pantry room refrigerator. Thanks for the nice stay and kudos to all staff members.

The location is very good. It's close to Charonne metro, some bakeries, cafes, and good restaurants, like Chez Mamy. The rooms are very small, but clean and adequate. The multilingual staff are very nice and helpful in providing information about the area and activities.

Pros: The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood with all necessities around: a cheese shop, a wine shop, supermarket, coffee shop, bakery, etc. Extremely convenient. A nice stroll takes you to the Place de Bastille, and the subway station is just across the street. Very good wifi, very pleasant front desk staff. We got a room with a balcony which was nice. Cons: As it sometimes happens, pictures look nicer than reality. The room had a bit of disheveled feeling, with parts of the plaster on the walls falling apart, old plastic coffee cups, etc. We had an accident with condensation from the windows: the curtains were soaked with dew and there was a puddle on the floor in the morning which unfortunately reached to my backpack which was all wet, but fortunately did not ruined my laptop… So just be aware of how physics work in the rooms 😊

I really liked that everyday the room was cleaned, the only thing the hotel needs a proper refurb. The bathroom was full with stains, toilet as well really old and used condition, was a bit disgused to use it. The reception ladies never greeted apart from the reception gentlemen, he was amazing and I could feel that he really loves his job.I'm happy to give him lots of credit, he does your hotel much better.

Comfortable, small hotel in a bustling area of the 11th arrondissement. Staff was very pleasant and most helpful at all times. Hotel was near shops, cafes, very convenient for meals. Also near several metro stops, making it easy to get around. It was a good pick for me, and I have no problem recommending it to others.

The room itself was fine. The pictures make it look much better than it is though. There were 3 if us and while the listing said 3 beds, it didn’t note that one was a pull out bed. So it wasn’t comfortable. But it was nice that the room came with 2 full bathrooms. The shower door was not very clean since there were water stains in both bathrooms. It didn’t feel very clean. There was no air conditioning, just fans, which was quite uncomfortable. Not ceiling fans, the kind you buy for $25. I believe it was because it was about a week Fashion Week and we needed a room at the last minute, the rate was ridiculous and we payed well over what they normally charge. BUT, I didn’t catch his name, but the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and friendly. He offered a lot of help with getting to sites and things to do. The location is great. Easy access to the subway.

There was a heat wave while for 2 out of the 4 day
unfortunately although rated 3 star this hotel does not have airconditioning. Just a simple fan.
